Exeter United Kingdom
Commercial video production for Exeter
Exeter is the county town of Devon, a cathedral city on a hill above the River Exe, with a university, a science park and an estuary town, Topsham, inside its boundary. Notlith makes hybrid films for businesses here remotely, from the photographs, pack artwork and plans you already own, with creative direction, AI-assisted imagery and motion, editing, colour and sound handled by our studio.

From Isca to a county town
Exeter grew from the civilian settlement beside the Roman fortress of Isca Dumnoniorum, and much of its later city wall can still be followed around the centre. The cathedral was founded in the mid eleventh century. Below the hill, the Quay recalls a working port: a canal was completed in 1566 so ships could reach the city again, and the quayside is now mostly used for leisure.
Today the city's notable employers include the Met Office, the University of Exeter, Devon County Council and the Royal Devon hospital trust, while Exeter Science Park, at junction 29 of the M5, hosts younger technology companies. Around them sit shops in Princesshay and on Fore Street, restaurants at the Quay, hotels near the cathedral and trade suppliers at Marsh Barton.

Films built from what you already hold
A project begins with your current images, logo, product or room references and a few lines on purpose and placement. In return we propose a running order, a script or set of titles and a visual direction. Generated imagery and motion are added only where your references support them; the film is then cut, graded, scored and exported in the sizes you plan to use.
The service pages below each take one kind of brief and one set of Exeter situations: product films for Devon producers and trade counters, property videos from Topsham to Newcourt, hotel, restaurant and venue films, event promotion, corporate and services videos, social ads and an AI-led advert built around show week at Westpoint.

Familiar views stay accurate
The west front of the cathedral, the red cliff behind the Quay and the estuary at Topsham are familiar to anyone who lives here, so an invented version would be spotted at once. Local scenery appears only from rights-cleared images you supply, labelled as context, and never to place your premises beside a view they do not have.
Every product, room and dish is checked against your references before delivery, and you approve each factual line on screen. Where a generated shot could pass for filmed reality, we suggest a short AI disclosure.

When Exeter needs a camera
Notlith has no Exeter office and sends no crew. A match at Sandy Park, a performance at the Northcott, an interview or a day with a team in the field calls for real filming, and we will say so before quoting. Our method suits products, places and campaigns built from material you already have.

Product films
Your products deserve a film too.
Beauty, drinks, furniture, fashion: we turn your product photos into a polished film, with no shoot, delivered in the formats your channels need.

Preparing your film
Do you film in Exeter?
No. We work remotely from your photographs, references and brand files, and we tell you early if your idea needs a camera on location.
Can the film show the cathedral or the Quay?
Only with rights-cleared images you supply, used as city context. We never imply that your premises sit next to a landmark when they do not.
Can one project serve residents and visitors?
Yes. We can plan a local edit and a visitor version, with their own captions and calls to action, agreed in the quote.
