AI video production in Exeter: a show-week advert for a Devon producer
Every May, the Devon County Show fills the Westpoint showground at Clyst St Mary, just east of Exeter, with livestock, food, drink and rural crafts. For a Devon cider maker, dairy or bakery, it is a natural moment to launch something. This page follows one such scenario: a hybrid advert made with AI from the producer's own photographs, ready for show week and the summer after.

A new cider for the third week of May
The County Show runs from Thursday to Saturday in the third week of May. Imagine a small cider maker from the Exe valley preparing a new sparkling cider to pour on its stand that week. The advert has to exist before the gates open: on the stand screen, in social posts the week before, and on the website.
The idea comes from the producer, not the software: the orchard in blossom becomes the glass in the marquee. The film runs thirty seconds, with a ten-second cut for social. AI handles motion and transitions between real photographs; it does not replace the orchard, the press or the people who work there.

Orchard photographs, label files and nothing invented
The material comes from the producer: orchard photographs from last spring, shots of the press and the bottling line, the final label artwork, the brand colours. We check the label letter by letter in every frame where it appears, because strength, allergens and wording must match what is sold.
Where a shot is missing, such as blossom in early light, we can generate an atmospheric image and keep it apart from any claim. No generated farmer speaks to camera, and no medal appears unless the producer actually holds it. If a shot could be mistaken for documentary footage of the farm, we recommend a short AI disclosure.

Playing on a stand screen in a busy marquee
At the show, a stand screen competes with conversation, tastings and announcements. The stand version is built to work without sound: large titles, the product name early, and a loop that makes sense from any point. Alcohol messaging stays responsible, with no suggestion of excess and nothing aimed at under-18s.
The same edit needs a different ending online. Social versions close on where to buy once the show is over: the farm shop, stockists or the website, as the producer confirms. Vertical and square cuts come from the same master, and the stand loop is delivered in the format the screen supplier specifies.

After Westpoint: a summer in Exeter shops and pubs
Once the show is over, the film can run through the summer as the producer sells into shops, pubs and markets in Exeter and across Devon. Titles referring to the show are swapped for seasonal lines, and stockist names are added only once they are confirmed in writing.
If the producer later wants to show the harvest itself, with pickers in the orchard and the press running in autumn, that is a moment for a real camera, and we would say so. Ownership and usage of the finished film are set out in the quote. Next May, the same structure can be refreshed for the following show.

Plan the details
Does this only work for cider?
No. The same approach suits a dairy, a bakery or a distillery with good photographs and final pack artwork. The scenario changes; the rules on accuracy do not.
Can the film mention the Devon County Show?
Factually, yes, as the place to find your stand. Using the show's logo or implying sponsorship needs the organiser's permission.
How do you handle alcohol advertising rules?
We write and edit to the UK advertising codes for alcohol: no link to driving, social success or excess, and nothing aimed at under-18s. You approve all wording.
What if our photographs come from different years?
That is common. We grade them to sit together and avoid mixing seasons in a way that misrepresents the product or the farm.
