Product film in Exeter, where the label matters as much as the look

Products made or sold from Exeter range from Devon dairy and handmade gifts to fittings sold over a trade counter in Marsh Barton. What they share on screen is a label, a rating or a claim that has to stay exactly true. Notlith makes product films remotely from your photographs and packaging files, with direction, AI-assisted motion, editing, colour and sound.

Clotted cream and the names you cannot borrow

Devon and Cornwall both claim clotted cream, but only one name is protected: Cornish clotted cream holds Protected Designation of Origin status, tied to milk produced in Cornwall. A Devon producer cannot use it, and a film must not drift towards it through imagery, wording or a generated coastline that reads as Cornish.

We work from your exact pack artwork and approved product photographs, and we check every frame where the label is visible. Serving suggestions, scones and jam included, are labelled as such when they are not part of what is sold. Any provenance line on screen, such as made in Devon, comes from your approved copy.

Trade counters at Marsh Barton

Marsh Barton, on the south-west side of the city, is a trading estate with builders' merchants, plumbing and electrical suppliers and car dealers, and it now has its own railway station. Products sold there are often bought by installers who need dimensions, compatibility and fixing details more than atmosphere.

A trade product film shows the item whole, then the parts an installer checks: connections, finishes, the label with its reference number. Animated callouts come from your technical sheet, never from guesswork. If a fitting is approved only for certain uses, the film says so, and it stays short enough to loop on a counter screen.

Gifts sold within sight of the cathedral

Shops around the Cathedral Quarter, Gandy Street and Fore Street sell prints, ceramics, textiles and local food. Many of those pieces are made in small batches, so colour and glaze vary from one to the next, and the image a customer sees online must match what arrives in the post.

We grade every shot against your reference photographs and keep variations visible rather than smoothing them into a single ideal object. For pieces that sell mainly in December or in summer, we can prepare a seasonal edit from the same product footage with a different opening. The product itself is never redrawn by AI.

Weather ratings and green claims, word for word

Exeter is home to the Met Office, which makes it a fitting place to be precise about weather. Outdoor products carry ratings such as waterproof or water resistant, and those words mean different things. Environmental claims need the same care: the Green Claims Code from the Competition and Markets Authority expects them to be truthful, clear and substantiated.

We use your certified ratings and approved wording only. Rain, mist or a muddy track on Dartmoor can be generated around the product as atmosphere, but never as evidence of performance. If a claim needs a test result behind it, we ask for the wording your compliance team has signed off before it appears on screen.

Plan the details

Can you show our cream with scones and jam?

Yes, as a serving suggestion, labelled where needed. The pack itself is reproduced from your artwork and checked against your photographs.

Can a trade film include technical drawings?

Yes. We animate dimensions and callouts from your technical sheets, and we flag anything that looks inconsistent before the film is finalised.

Will AI change the colour of handmade pieces?

No. We grade to match your reference photographs and keep the natural variation between pieces. Generated elements stay in the background.

Can the film say a product is eco-friendly?

Only through a specific, substantiated claim you approve. We steer away from vague terms and suggest precise wording based on what you can prove.
