Commercial video production for Oxford
Oxford is known worldwide for one institution, yet most of the businesses here sell something else: lab services, books, rooms, meals, homes, courses. Notlith makes hybrid commercial films for them remotely, from their own photographs and references, combining creative direction, AI-assisted imagery, editing, colour and sound.

A city that is more than its skyline
Visitors see the colleges, the Bodleian and the Radcliffe Camera. Residents also know the science parks at Littlemore and Begbroke, the car plant at Cowley, the publishers, hospitals, language schools and the independent traders of the Covered Market, which has been trading since the eighteenth century. Each of these sells to a different audience, and few of them benefit from a film that leans on the same famous domes.
Our starting point is the thing you offer. A product, a room, a service screen or a dining table photographed well tells a viewer more than a sunset over spires. When the city appears, it comes from rights-cleared images and is presented as context, never as a claim of affiliation. Outside the ring road, Oxfordshire brands from Witney to Bicester can follow the same approach.

Neighbourhoods with their own audiences
The centre around Cornmarket, the High Street and the Westgate draws visitors and shoppers. Jericho and Summertown have a quieter, residential trade. Cowley Road mixes students, families and a wide range of food. Headington combines hospitals, Oxford Brookes and long-established homes.
A film for a business in one of these places should speak to the people who actually pass through it. We plan versions by audience and season, recognising that the academic terms change who is in the city from October to June and again in the summer. A café that thrives in Michaelmas term may need a different message in August, when summer schools and tourists replace the undergraduates.

What we do remotely, and what we leave to a camera
We write the idea and script, set the visual direction, generate and animate from your material, then edit, grade and add music and sound. Every generated frame is shown to you, and we check products and spaces against your photographs so nothing is added that you do not sell.
We have no Oxford office and no local crew. Interviews, live events and documentary scenes need someone on location, and we say so when a brief calls for it. Formats, review rounds and usage are set out in each quote. Versions in other languages can be scoped for international students, visiting families and overseas buyers, using wording your team approves.

Venue films
Welcoming guests? We film your venue too.
Restaurant, hotel, shop or property: from your photos, we make a hybrid film that makes people want to visit.

Preparing your Oxford film
Can our film include college buildings or university crests?
Only with permission from the rights holder. Many names and marks are protected, so we focus on your own premises and products unless you can document approval.
Which kinds of Oxford businesses is this suited to?
Businesses whose offer can be shown from good photographs: products, hotels, restaurants, property, venues, shops and services with a clear process or digital interface.
What should we send first?
Your objective, the audience, where the film will run and a folder of current photographs. We review the material before proposing an idea.
