Commercial video production for Lexington

Lexington sits in the middle of Kentucky's Bluegrass region, where horse farms, a public university, a health system and a growing number of makers share one county. Businesses here often sell to people far away: buyers, owners, alumni, customers in other states. Notlith makes commercial films remotely from the photographs and references you already hold, combining creative direction, AI-assisted imagery, editing, color, music and sound.

A city with a line drawn around it

In 1958 Lexington adopted an urban service boundary, keeping new development inside a defined area and leaving much of Fayette County to farms. Drive a few minutes from downtown and the view changes to paddocks, plank fences and old stone walls. That contrast between a compact city and open country is part of how many local businesses present themselves.

For a film, it means being precise about where you are. A shop on Euclid Avenue, an inn on a country road and an office near Rupp Arena each sit in a different landscape. We build every sequence from images of your actual address, and keep wider scenery separate and clearly labelled.

Horses, campus and the businesses between

The city is known for its thoroughbred industry: Keeneland's race meets and sales, the Kentucky Horse Park to the north and the farms, clinics and suppliers that serve them. The University of Kentucky and Transylvania University bring students, researchers and their families, and the university's research campus hosts young companies.

Around those anchors work restaurants on Jefferson Street and in the Distillery District, showrooms on National Avenue, builders, tree crews, roofers and food producers selling Kentucky goods across the country. The pages below cover the kinds of films we make for each of them.

What we do from a distance, and what we do not

Notlith has no office or crew in Lexington. You send a brief, current photographs, brand guidelines and the facts you have approved; we reply with a proposed structure, the list of versions and the review stages. Delivery usually includes a landscape master and vertical and square cuts, plus captions.

Some subjects need a camera on location: a horse jogging for buyers, an interview, a live event. We recommend local filming for those and can edit the footage afterwards. We do not generate horses, landmarks or people standing in for real ones, and our demos are fictional concepts, not client work.

Our films go beyond products: dining room, terrace, suite or office, we showcase your space from your own images.

Preparing your film

Do you film in Lexington?

No. We work remotely from your photographs, footage and references. If live recording is needed, a local crew can capture it and we can edit, grade and mix the result.

Can the film show Keeneland or the Horse Park?

Only from licensed images or photographs you are permitted to use, and presented as surroundings rather than your premises. Their names and marks belong to them.

What should we send first?

A short brief with the goal and audience, recent photographs of the product or space, your brand guidelines and the channels where the film will appear.

How are revisions and usage rights handled?

Review stages, the number of revision rounds and usage terms are written into the quote you approve before production starts.
