Commercial video production for Des Moines
Des Moines grew where the Des Moines and Raccoon rivers meet, and today it is Iowa's capital, a center of insurance and financial services and a city ringed by farmland and agribusiness. Notlith makes commercial films for businesses here remotely, from your own photographs, screens and brand assets, with creative direction, AI-assisted motion, editing, color and sound.

Policies, seeds and a gold dome
Downtown, office towers of insurers and financial firms are linked by an enclosed skywalk that keeps people moving through the winter. East of the river, the East Village climbs toward the State Capitol, with shops, restaurants and galleries in older brick buildings. Beyond the suburbs, seed, equipment and food companies serve a farming economy that shapes much of the region's business.
Those sectors share a challenge on screen: what they sell is often abstract, technical or regulated. A policy, a crop input or a financial service rarely looks like anything in a photograph. Our work starts by finding the concrete image that explains it, then building a film around material you can stand behind.

A calendar with clear peaks
Local business follows a recognizable rhythm. The legislative session fills the Capitol area early in the year, the Drake Relays come to Drake Stadium in April, the Des Moines Arts Festival takes over Western Gateway Park in June and the Iowa State Fair draws crowds to the east side every August. On Saturdays through the warm months, the Downtown Farmers' Market fills the streets around Court Avenue.
We plan masters that can carry seasonal variants, from a fair-week social ad to a winter hotel film, without a new production each time. We do not use event names or marks unless you are entitled to them.
What we make, and what we leave to a crew
Product films, social ads, restaurant and hotel films, property and venue videos, recruiting pieces and AI-assisted commercials all work well from strong photographs and clear facts. Deliverables, formats, review rounds and usage are defined in the quote before production begins.
Notlith has no office or crew in Des Moines. Real interviews, live events and work on a factory floor or in a field are better captured by a local camera team, and we can edit, grade and add sound to that footage alongside photo-based sequences.

A place to show off? We turn it into a film.
Our films go beyond products: dining room, terrace, suite or office, we showcase your space from your own images.

Preparing your film
Which Des Moines businesses suit this method?
Companies with good product photos or clean screens, hotels, restaurants and venues with current interior images, real estate marketers and service firms with documented work. We review your material before proposing a scope.
Can the film show the Capitol or the skyline?
Only through photography you have the right to use, and only where it is relevant to your business. We do not generate real landmarks and present them as filmed.
Do you work with regulated industries?
Yes. Insurance and financial clients usually add a compliance review. We schedule that round and keep a record of approved wording for later versions.
What should we send first?
The purpose of the film, where it will run, a representative set of photos or screens and the details viewers must recognize. We assess these before suggesting a sequence.
