Corporate film in Des Moines: standing out in a city of insurers
Downtown Des Moines holds a dense cluster of insurance and financial-services offices, many of them linked by the skywalk, and agribusiness employers sit just beyond the city line. A corporate film here often has one hard job: explaining why your company, and not the one across Grand Avenue, is the right place to work or to buy from. Notlith builds these films remotely from your approved photos, screens and documents.

Candidates who can compare you on foot
An analyst weighing two offers downtown may be able to walk from one lobby to the other without going outside in January. In that situation, general statements about culture and opportunity cancel each other out. What separates employers is concrete: the team's actual work, the tools people use, how a new hire spends the first months, whether hybrid schedules are offered. We ask for those facts first and write the script around them.
Your HR and legal reviewers decide which details can appear. Benefits, pay ranges and promotion paths only enter the film once someone responsible for them has signed off. If a detail is still under discussion internally, we leave it out of the master and can add it in a later version.
Making underwriting and claims work visible
Actuarial models, underwriting rules and claims queues happen on screens, which is why so many insurance recruiting films fall back on stock handshakes. We prefer the real interface, cleaned of any customer data, with motion that follows a single task from start to finish: a file arriving, a decision being reasoned through, a policyholder receiving an answer. The viewer understands the role instead of the mood.
Synthetic records or redacted screenshots work well here. We never invent dashboards, ratings or performance numbers, and we keep any generated imagery to backgrounds, light and transitions rather than the content of the screen.

Agribusiness between the field and the lab
Seed, crop-protection and equipment companies around the metro, from Johnston to Ankeny, recruit engineers, agronomists and sales staff who may never have lived in Iowa. Their corporate films need the field, the plant breeding greenhouse and the office to belong to one coherent story. Photos from each setting, labeled by location and season, let us build that sequence without implying that one site contains everything.
Agricultural claims need the same discipline as financial ones. A yield, a trial result or a sustainability figure should come from your approved sources, worded as your specialists word it. Where no such source exists, the film describes the work rather than its outcomes.
Versions for the career fair and the boardroom
The same company story often needs to work at a Drake University or Iowa State career event, on a careers page and in a client presentation. Each setting changes the length, the opening and the call to action. We plan those versions at the brief stage so the master carries them naturally.
Notlith has no Des Moines office or crew. When the film should feature real employees speaking, a local camera team is the right tool, and we can edit and grade that footage together with photo-based sequences.

Plan the details
Can the film mention our location in the skywalk system?
Yes, if it is accurate and useful to candidates or visitors. We describe the connection plainly and use only photos you have the right to publish, without suggesting a building or view that is not yours.
Do you work with compliance teams?
Yes. Regulated companies usually add a compliance review before release. We build that round into the schedule and keep a record of approved wording so later versions stay consistent.
Can you show our employees without filming them?
Only from photographs they have agreed to appear in. We do not generate lookalikes of staff or put words in anyone's mouth. Anonymous figures or no people at all are alternatives.
Which formats do we receive?
Typically a widescreen master and shorter cuts for social and career platforms. The exact list, lengths, review rounds and usage terms are set out in the quote.
