Notlith · Belfast
Video production company for Belfast: a remote studio, not a local crew
Belfast has working film studios, experienced drama crews and agencies used to shooting on location. Notlith is a different kind of supplier. We are a remote hybrid studio: we make commercial films from the photographs, references and brand assets you already have, with creative direction, AI-assisted imagery, editing, colour and sound. This page explains where that model fits a Belfast brief and where it does not.
Remote production · From your photos

A city with studios on the old shipyard
Television dramas and feature films have used stages in the Titanic Quarter and at Belfast Harbour Studios, supported by Northern Ireland Screen. That industry means local crews, lighting houses and post-production talent are available for live-action work. If your brief needs actors, a location or a camera in a real room, hiring them is often sensible.
We do not compete with that. We do not claim a Belfast office, crew or kit. Our studio works remotely on briefs where the subject can be built faithfully from existing photographs: products, interiors, properties, interfaces and brand worlds.

How a project runs at a distance
We start with a call and a folder: your photos, logos, fonts, references you admire and the decision the viewer should take. We return a short creative proposal and script, then a visual treatment showing light, colour and pace before any motion is produced.
Generation, editing, grading and sound follow, with agreed review rounds by video link and written comments. Time zones are not an issue for a Belfast client. Final files are delivered in the formats listed in the quote, with ownership and usage set out there.

Working alongside a Belfast agency
Marketing agencies in the city sometimes need a product or place film without booking a shoot. We can work under their creative direction, inside their brand guidelines and through their account lead. Feedback comes from one contact, and credits or white-label terms are agreed at the start. That suits pitches and tight campaign windows, where an agency needs a convincing film to show a client before a production budget is approved.
Agencies can also combine approaches: a live-action interview filmed by a local team, with our hybrid product sequences cut into the same campaign. We match grade and sound so the pieces sit together, and agree file formats with the local editor early.

Questions to settle before choosing
Ask whether the film's subject exists in good photographs, whether people must speak on camera, and whether the setting is the point. A distillery tour, a staff documentary or a match day atmosphere call for real filming. A new bottle, a hotel room or an app launch often do not.
We will say plainly if your brief belongs with a crew. When it suits our method, you get a cinematic film without hiring a location or scheduling around Belfast's changeable weather.

Plan the details
Do you have a team in Belfast?
No. We work remotely and do not send crews. Everything is built from material you share with us.
Can you edit footage we already filmed?
Yes. We can edit, grade and add sound to your existing footage, and combine it with hybrid sequences where that helps.
Are the demo films client work?
No. The demos are fictional concepts created with AI to show our style and method.
How do we compare you with a local production company?
Compare what each needs from you. A crew needs access, people and a shoot day; we need strong photographs and a clear brief.
