Notlith · Brighton

Video production company for Brighton, working remotely from your material

Brighton has plenty of camera operators, editors and small production companies, many of them freelancers who also work in London. So why consider a studio that works remotely? Because some films do not need a crew at all. Notlith is a hybrid studio: we take your photographs and brand material and turn them into finished films with creative direction, script, AI-assisted imagery, editing, colour and sound, while telling you honestly when a local shoot would serve you better.

When a shoot is more than the brief needs

A small brand with ten products, a guest house with six rooms or a studio launching a new timetable may need a polished film but not a day of filming, location fees and a crew. If good photographs already exist, a hybrid production can produce a cinematic result from them, with motion, grading and sound design.

The deciding question is what the viewer must believe. If they need to see real people doing real things, a camera is necessary. If they need to understand a product, a room or an offer, your existing images are often sufficient. We make that assessment openly when we first see your material.

Working alongside a Brighton agency

Many Brighton businesses already have a marketing or design agency, often nearby. We can work inside their creative direction, receive the brief from them and route feedback through them, so the client relationship stays where it is. Typography, colour palettes and tone of voice come from their guidelines.

Agencies sometimes use us to visualise a concept before a larger shoot, or to produce product cutdowns that would be uneconomical to film. Confidentiality and credits are agreed at the outset. We do not contact their clients directly unless asked to, and files are delivered in the formats their teams use.

What a hybrid studio actually does

Our process starts with your goal and your material. We propose an idea, write a script or title plan and set a visual direction with reference frames. Image generation and motion are then produced from your photographs, checked for fidelity, edited, colour graded and finished with licensed or composed music and sound design.

You see the direction before generation and a full cut before finishing, with review rounds defined in the quote. We record which shots are generated, so you can add an AI disclosure where viewers might assume filmed reality. Products, labels and rooms are compared with your references at each stage.

Where we hand over to a local crew

Interviews, documentary filming, live music, sport at the Amex, weddings and anything that depends on capturing a real moment belong with a crew in the room. If your brief is mostly in that territory, we will recommend looking for a Brighton production company and will not stretch our method to fit.

Some projects combine both. A local crew might film a founder interview, and we produce product sequences and social cutdowns around it from photographs. In that case we agree with you how the footage reaches us and who owns each part of the edit. Notlith does not claim a Brighton office or local staff.

Plan the details

Do you have a studio in Brighton?

No. We work remotely and do not send crews. Everything is produced from the material you send us.

Can you work with footage our own team has shot?

Yes. We can edit, grade and add sound to your clips, and extend them with sequences built from photographs where it makes sense.

How do we know if our photos are good enough?

Send a sample. We review sharpness, angles and lighting and tell you what the material can support before any quote.

Who owns the finished film?

Usage and ownership terms are set out in the quote for each project, so you know what you can do with every delivered file.

Start with your images

Send us a short description of the film, a sample of your photographs and where it will be used, and we will assess the fit.
