Video production company in Leicester for food manufacturers and their buyers

Leicester has long made food for the rest of the country, from crisps to samosas, sweets and chilled ready meals produced on estates around the city. When these businesses look for a video production company, the film is usually aimed at a retail buyer, a wholesaler or a food-service contract rather than the public. Notlith works remotely, building films from your pack shots, line photographs and brand material with creative direction, AI-assisted imagery, editing, colour, music and sound.

A range film for a buyer's first look

A supermarket or wholesale buyer watches a range film to decide whether a meeting deserves more time. They want to see the products as packed, the pack sizes, the shelf-life format and the kitchen they come from, roughly in that order. Atmosphere helps only if it does not slow the facts down, so each product stays on screen long enough to read the pack.

We build it from your pack shots and plated photographs, adding movement, light and steam where the reference supports it. The food on screen must match what leaves the factory: portion size, the colour of a sauce, the number of pieces in a tray. If a generated shot drifts from the real product, we replace it with a simpler move on the original photograph.

Inside a high-care area without a camera

Production floors in this trade cannot simply be filmed. High-care zones, protective clothing, foreign-body rules and customer audits turn a filming day into a project of its own. Your technical team may already hold approved photographs taken for audits and customer visits, and those are often enough to show a buyer how the line works.

We work only from images your technical manager has cleared, and we do not generate machinery, staff or hygiene procedures you have not shown us. Certifications appear exactly as they read on the certificate, with the grade and scope you hold. If a buyer needs to see the line running, a short sequence filmed under your site rules is the honest route, and we edit it in.

Allergens, claims and the words on the pack

A film becomes part of how a product is sold, so the label's rules apply to it too. Allergen information follows the pack, terms such as vegan, gluten free or handmade appear only where they are true and documented, and a recipe described as traditional needs your agreement on that word. Before production we send a list of every claim in the script for your technical team to approve.

Language versions follow the same discipline. A film for Gujarati or Punjabi speaking customers, or for an export buyer, has its captions written by someone fluent and checked against the English claims list. Dish names stay as your customers know them, spelled the way your packaging spells them, rather than corrected to a dictionary form.

Own-label work and what may be shown

Some manufacturers produce lines for other brands. If you make own-label products, the retailer's packaging, logos and recipes usually belong to the retailer, and contracts often limit what can be shown. We plan the film around your capability and your own brands, and keep customer packs out unless you have written permission to show them.

The same project can then be cut for different uses: a longer version for a buyer meeting, a short silent loop for a trade show stand, a recruitment edit for the shop floor. Each version is listed in the quote, together with review rounds and what you may do with the finished films, so procurement and marketing read the same scope.

Plan the details

Do you need access to our factory?

No. We work from photographs and documents your team supplies and clears. If running footage of the line is needed, it is filmed under your site rules by your team or an approved crew.

Can you show products we make for a retailer?

Only with the retailer's written permission. Otherwise we focus on your capability, your own brands and neutral packaging that reveals nothing confidential.

Are you based in Leicester?

No. Notlith is a remote studio with no office or crew in the East Midlands. Reviews take place through shared links and video calls.

Who approves the claims in the film?

Your technical or compliance lead. We send a list of every product claim, allergen mention and certification before production and again before delivery.
