Commercial video production for Geelong
Geelong sits on Corio Bay at the western edge of Port Phillip, on Wadawurrung Country, with the Bellarine Peninsula to the east and the Surf Coast to the south. Notlith makes commercial films for businesses here without a crew or a shoot day, working from the photographs, plans and brand material you already hold. We add creative direction, AI-assisted imagery, editing, colour and sound, and we say early when a project needs a real camera.

A port city that has changed what it makes
Geelong grew as a wool port, and its nineteenth-century wool stores still stand near the waterfront; one houses the National Wool Museum, another a Deakin University campus. Through the twentieth century the city added car making, aluminium smelting and other heavy industry, much of which has since closed. Statutory agencies, Deakin University, health services and a wide spread of smaller firms now shape a large part of the working city.
In 2017 Geelong joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network as a City of Design. For a film, that history matters less as nostalgia than as a standard: viewers here tend to notice when a material, a building or a process is shown carelessly. We keep that in mind on every brief.

City, peninsula and coast in one region
Advertisers around Geelong rarely speak to a single audience. Central businesses serve office workers, students and commuters; Bellarine wineries, cafés and guesthouses in towns such as Queenscliff, Portarlington and Drysdale serve weekend visitors; Torquay and the start of the Great Ocean Road bring surf brands and travellers. Since 2022 the Spirit of Tasmania has sailed from a terminal at Corio Quay, adding passengers who pass through on their way south.
Each of those settings has its own service page here, from hotel films to social ads for product brands. The common thread is that a film should show your actual product or place and speak to the specific person who is deciding whether to buy, book or visit.

How a remote film comes together
We do not have an office or crew in Geelong. Briefs, scripts, reviews and delivery happen online. You send photographs, drawings, renders and brand guidelines; we propose an idea, a script and look frames, then produce the edit with generated motion only where it respects what your references show. Recognisable local landmarks come from licensed photography, never from generation.
The method suits launches, product films, venue introductions and campaign cuts. It is the wrong choice for interviews, live sport, events on the day or anything that depends on a real person speaking. Versions, ratios, review rounds and usage terms are set out in the quote once we have seen your material.

Venue films
Welcoming guests? We film your venue too.
Restaurant, hotel, shop or property: from your photos, we make a hybrid film that makes people want to visit.

Preparing your film
Can our film include the waterfront or the coast?
Yes, through licensed photographs you supply or source. We do not generate Corio Bay, the Bellarine or Surf Coast landmarks, and destination shots are kept separate from images of your own premises.
Do you work with businesses outside the city itself?
Yes. Because we work remotely, a winery near Drysdale, a shop in Torquay and an office in central Geelong follow the same process.
What should we send first?
The purpose of the film, where it will run, a representative set of full-resolution photographs and any details that must stay exactly as they are. We review those before proposing a treatment.
