Video production company for Geelong: design studios, airshow stands, carbon fibre and conference bids

Geelong has been a UNESCO City of Design since 2017, it hosts the Avalon airshow on its northern edge, and Deakin's Waurn Ponds campus runs a carbon fibre facility. Each produces briefs with a deadline and a specialist audience. Notlith is a remote hybrid studio: we build films from your drawings, photographs and data, with creative direction, AI-assisted imagery, editing, colour and sound.

Architects and designers presenting unbuilt work

In a City of Design, the client is often a practice that thinks visually: an architect presenting a competition entry, an industrial designer showing a prototype, a textile label entering a prize at the National Wool Museum. They arrive with renders, models and sketches, and with firm views on typography and proportion.

We treat their files as the master reference. A building stays at the massing and materials in the drawings; nothing is added to make a scheme look further along than it is. Our contribution is sequence, light, sound and pacing. Concept imagery is labelled, and the practice approves every frame before it goes to a jury or client.

A stand loop for the airshow trade days

The Australian International Airshow returns to Avalon Airport from 23 to 28 February 2027, opening with trade days for industry visitors. Suppliers of components, maintenance, training or software need a loop that explains their capability to someone walking past a stand, with the sound off.

We build it from CAD views, certified product photographs and approved diagrams. Aircraft, logos of primes and defence platforms appear only if you have the right to show them; we do not generate them. Text carries the message, sized for a large screen in a bright hall, with a longer version for follow-up meetings after the show.

Carbon fibre that only makes sense close up

Carbon Nexus, Deakin's open-access carbon fibre and composites facility, has been at Waurn Ponds since 2014, and firms around it work on fibres, resins and composite parts. Their buyers and investors need to see a process that happens inside an oven or under a microscope.

We animate only what your micrographs, process diagrams and test results support, and each frame goes back to your engineers for checking. Strength or weight figures appear only as you state them. Where a scene is a schematic rather than a record, it is labelled, so nobody mistakes an illustration for test footage.

Bidding to bring a conference to the waterfront

Nyaal Banyul, the Geelong Convention and Event Centre on the waterfront, opened in 2026 and is run by the Victorian Convention and Event Trust. Associations and organisers deciding where to hold a future congress compare destinations through bid presentations.

A bid film for a hotel group, a destination team or a professional organiser combines the venue's approved images, the city's own photography and practical details such as travel from Melbourne and Avalon. We show only spaces that exist and are photographed. Anything still under construction stays in clearly marked renders supplied by the venue.

Plan the details

Can we keep our own typefaces and grid?

Yes. Send your type files and layout rules and we set every title to them. Designers on your side review typography as a separate step.

Can the airshow loop run without sound?

Yes. We plan it silent first, with a soundtrack added for meetings and online use. Tell us the screen size and orientation of the stand.

Do you sign confidentiality agreements for materials research?

Yes, before you send any files. We can also keep unreleased data out of the public cut and supply a separate version for investors.

Can you film at the venue or the campus?

No. We have no crew in Geelong. If a bid needs walkthrough footage or interviews, a local crew records them and we edit their material.
