Event promotional video in Geelong: water, street and racecourse

Geelong's calendar moves between very different settings: yachts on Corio Bay for the Festival of Sails, food stalls and dancers along Pakington Street for Pako Festa in February, marquees at the racecourse for the Geelong Cup in spring. Notlith makes promotional videos for organisers and hosts remotely, working from your photographs, programme and brand material, with creative direction, AI-assisted motion, editing and sound. Each setting asks for a different kind of honesty.

On the bay, the fleet must be real

A regatta or harbour event invites sweeping shots of sails and spray, and that is exactly where generated imagery goes wrong: rigging that could not work, hull numbers that belong to no one, a crowded start line that never happened. We build the film from your race photography and approved archive, adding movement, sound and titles around it.

Generated material stays in the margins: a textured background behind entry dates, a stylised map of the course drawn from your sailing instructions, an animated logo. Spectator information, such as where to watch from the foreshore near Eastern Beach or Steampacket Gardens, comes from your event plan and is checked against the current year.

A street festival is made of its participants

A community parade or multicultural festival depends on the groups who march, cook and perform. Promoting it with invented costumes or generated dancers would misrepresent the very people the event celebrates. We ask organisers for photographs where participants have given consent, plus the list of groups that have confirmed this year.

The film then highlights what visitors can genuinely expect: a stall type, a performance stage, the stretch of street that closes to traffic. Names of community groups are spelled as they spell them, and any cultural dress or ceremony is shown only from your own material, never approximated by a model.

Hospitality packages on a race day

Spring racing in Geelong brings hosted marquees, lunches and corporate tables. A promotional video for a hospitality package should show the actual offer: the menu, the table setting, the view toward the track if your position really has one, and the dress code you will enforce.

We do not show horses finishing or betting imagery to sell a lunch package, and we keep alcohol service in proportion to what the package includes. Ticket tiers, inclusions and transport options appear as captions so the venue can update them without a new edit if the racing club changes details.

Before the date, during it, and the year after

An event film usually works in stages: an announcement, a programme reveal, a final reminder in the days beforehand. We plan these as one master with interchangeable end cards, so the same visual identity carries from the first post to the last.

After the event, your own photographers' images can feed a recap that becomes next year's announcement. That recap is built from genuine moments only. If sponsors require logo placements, we work from their supplied artwork and approved positions rather than inventing branded signage.

Plan the details

Can you film our event on the day?

No. We do not send a crew. Commission a local photographer or videographer to capture the day, and we can build promotional and recap edits from their material.

Can the film show the waterfront or racecourse?

Yes, from licensed photographs you supply. We do not generate recognisable Geelong locations, and wider destination shots are kept clearly separate from your event's own spaces.

Do you add crowds to make the event look busy?

No. Attendance is shown only as your photographs record it. A well-framed image of a smaller gathering is more convincing than an invented crowd.

Can one film serve several events in our season?

Often, yes. A shared opening with event-specific endings can promote a series while keeping each date, venue and ticket link accurate.
