Commercial video production for Saskatoon
Saskatoon spreads across both banks of the South Saskatchewan River, and its bridges tie together a university city, a centre for agriculture and the head offices of resource companies and co-operatives. Notlith produces commercial films for businesses here remotely, building each one from your own photographs with creative direction, AI-assisted motion, editing, colour and sound.

A river valley through the middle of town
The Meewasin Valley follows the river through the city, with trails on both banks and River Landing beside downtown, where Remai Modern and Persephone Theatre stand. Across the water, Broadway Avenue and the older streets of Nutana sit close to the bank, while Riversdale has seen new shops and restaurants open along 20th Street West.
Those places appear in plenty of local marketing, and it is tempting to borrow them. We use the river, a bridge or a street only when it genuinely belongs to your business and when you hold images you may use. A film about a shop on 8th Street East does not need the skyline to be convincing.

Crops, potash, co-ops and a research campus
Beyond the riverbank, the economy is practical: crop production and food science, potash and uranium, member-owned retailers and credit unions, health care and education. The University of Saskatchewan campus hosts the Canadian Light Source, a national synchrotron facility, and the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization, with the Innovation Place research park beside them.
These organizations need films that explain, recruit and sell, often to audiences far from the city: a grower in another province, a scientist weighing a move, a member reading an annual report. We start each brief by asking who the film has to convince, then build the sequence from approved photographs, diagrams and screen captures.

Planning around prairie seasons
Winter here is the season of planning and indoor trade shows; summer brings the Fringe on Broadway and events by the river; autumn belongs to harvest in the fields around the city. A master film can carry seasonal versions if the source material supports each one. We only show snow, crops or patios that your photographs actually contain.
Saskatchewan also keeps Central Standard Time all year, so launch times and review calls are confirmed in Saskatoon time. Deliverables, typically a widescreen master with vertical and square cuts, are agreed before production, along with review rounds and usage of the finished film.

What a remote studio leaves to a local crew
Notlith has no office or crew in Saskatoon. Interviews, live events and a site in motion are better captured by a Saskatchewan camera team, and we say so at the first conversation. We can then edit, grade and mix that footage alongside our photo-based sequences, so the film reads as one piece.

Venue films
Welcoming guests? We film your venue too.
Restaurant, hotel, shop or property: from your photos, we make a hybrid film that makes people want to visit.

Preparing your film
Which Saskatoon businesses suit this method?
Brands with clear product photographs, venues and hotels with current interior images, property marketers, clinics, co-operatives and ag-tech firms with documented products. We review your material before proposing a scope.
Can the film feature the river or the bridges?
Only where that is true for your business and supported by images you have the right to use. We do not generate a landmark and present it as filmed.
Do you produce French versions?
Yes. French copy and voice are written natively and scoped in the quote, which is useful for national campaigns and Fransaskois audiences.
What should we send first?
The purpose of the film, where it will run, a representative set of photographs and the details viewers must recognize. We assess these before suggesting a sequence.
