Commercial video production for Kitchener-Waterloo
Kitchener and Waterloo are two cities that grew into each other along King Street, at the centre of a region that also includes Cambridge and four rural townships. Notlith makes advertising films for businesses here remotely, from the photographs, renders and brand files you already have, with creative direction, AI-assisted imagery, editing, colour and sound. No crew, no location to book, and nothing on screen that you do not actually offer.

Two cities, one hyphen
Kitchener was called Berlin until 1916, a reminder of the German-speaking settlers who shaped the area, and it developed as a manufacturing town. Waterloo, just to the north, grew around insurance, then its universities and the technology companies that followed. Today the boundary between them is easy to cross without noticing.
For advertisers, the hyphen still matters. A business in Uptown Waterloo and one in Downtown Kitchener may share customers yet speak to them differently. We ask early which side of the line you are on, who you serve across the Region, and whether Cambridge or the townships belong in the message.

A region linked by the ION
Since 2019 the ION light rail has connected Conestoga in the north of Waterloo with Fairview Park in the south of Kitchener, passing both downtowns and the University of Waterloo. It has become a practical shorthand for location, and new housing and offices have grown up near its stations.
Our films use that kind of local reference only when it is accurate for you and built from material you can share. We never generate a station, a streetscape or a landmark and present it as filmed. Local scenery appears from your rights-cleared photos or as a clearly labelled creative mood.
What we make here
Our work for Kitchener-Waterloo covers product films, social ads, restaurant and bar films, hotel presentations, property videos, venue and shop films, event promotion, corporate and employer brand pieces, service promos and AI ad films. Each starts from your real assets: product photos, CAD renders, interface designs, floor plans or a few honest phone pictures.
We write the concept and script, set the look in key frames, then generate, edit, grade and mix. Product details, labels, screens and rooms are checked against your references at each stage. Review rounds, formats and usage terms are set out in the quote.
Where a local camera is the right call
Notlith has no office or crew in Waterloo Region and does not claim one. Interviews with founders, a team at work, a live event or a production line running at speed need a real camera, and a local videographer is the sensible hire for that.
We can still write the script, plan what the crew should capture and edit their footage together with our sequences. English and Canadian French versions can be prepared from the same master for clients who sell beyond Ontario.

Venue films
Welcoming guests? We film your venue too.
Restaurant, hotel, shop or property: from your photos, we make a hybrid film that makes people want to visit.

Preparing your film
Do you work with businesses in Cambridge and the townships?
Yes. We work remotely, so any business in Waterloo Region can send its material. We adapt the copy to the places you actually serve.
Can a film show the University of Waterloo or Victoria Park?
Only from rights-cleared images you supply, and never in a way that suggests endorsement. We do not pass off a generated landmark as real footage.
Which time zone do you follow?
Yours. Calls and review deadlines are scheduled in Eastern Time for clients in Kitchener-Waterloo.
What should we send first?
A short description of the goal and audience, where the film will run, and the clearest photos or renders you have. We assess them before proposing a sequence.
