AI video production in Kitchener-Waterloo: ad films for machines, parts and industrial products

Waterloo Region still makes things. Alongside its software firms, Kitchener and Cambridge have long had factories, and today's manufacturers sell equipment, components and materials to buyers across North America. Notlith makes advertising films for those products with AI, working from your photographs, CAD renders and technical sheets, so a machine that cannot leave the plant floor can still star in a commercial.

A machine that will never visit a studio

A packaging line, a press or an industrial enclosure weighs too much and costs too much downtime to be filmed in a studio. On the plant floor, lighting, safety rules and confidentiality limit what a camera can capture. That is where an AI-assisted ad film earns its place.

We start from a single advertising idea, such as reliability through a Canadian winter or a changeover done in minutes if you can document it, and write the script around it. The look is fixed in key frames built from your renders, and only then do we generate motion around the product.

Every bolt where the drawing puts it

Engineers and procurement teams notice when a part is wrong. Generated imagery tends to smooth edges, merge fasteners and invent panels. We check every frame against your CAD views and photographs, and where the model drifts, we fall back to a still or a simpler move.

The film shows only features the product actually has. Performance figures, certifications and tolerances appear as on-screen text exactly as your engineering team supplies them. We do not generate operators, testimonials or factory scenes and present them as yours.

A trade-show loop, a sales clip and a French cut

Industrial buyers meet a product in several places: a looping screen on a booth, a short clip in a sales email, a page on your distributor's site. Each needs its own cut. We produce a master in 16:9 and derive a silent loop, a vertical version and a square version from it.

If you sell into Quebec, French on-screen text is often required for advertising there, and we prepare that version from the same master. Spanish or other languages for export markets can follow in the same way, using copy you approve.

Prototypes, labels and when to film the line

Startups from the Region's incubators sometimes ask for an ad film before the first production run. We can work from prototype photos and renders, and we label the result as a pre-production concept. The AI content is disclosed where your channels or customers expect it.

If the strongest argument is the line itself running at speed, or a real technician explaining a fix, film it for real with a local crew. We can then edit that footage with our generated sequences. Usage rights for the delivered film are set out in the quote.

Plan the details

Can you work from STEP or other CAD files?

Rendered views exported from your CAD software are most useful. Send them with photographs of the finished product so we can match materials and finishes.

Our product is under NDA. How do you handle that?

We can sign your confidentiality agreement before receiving files. Sensitive elements can be left out of the film or shown only in agreed angles.

Will viewers know the film uses AI?

We recommend labelling it, and we follow the disclosure rules of the platforms where it runs. A short credit line is usually enough.

How many review rounds are included?

The number of rounds is agreed in the quote. Your engineering team should take part in the first one, when product accuracy is checked.
