Notlith · Saskatoon
Video production company in Saskatoon for marketing teams of one
In many Saskatoon organizations, marketing is one person, or one person with half of another job: a credit union branch, a tech start-up at Innovation Place, a family firm in the North Industrial area. Notlith is a hybrid studio that works remotely. We take your photographs, documents and references, then deliver finished films with creative direction, AI-assisted motion, editing, colour and sound.
Remote production · From your photos

One person, several approvers
A marketing lead in a small team usually collects comments from an owner, a manager and sometimes a board. We make that easier with a single brief template, a written treatment you can circulate, and a review document where every note sits against a timecode. Your job becomes deciding rather than chasing.
The scope is written before production: number of films, lengths, formats, language versions, review rounds and usage rights. If a request arrives mid-project, we tell you whether it fits the scope or needs a change, so nothing surprises the person who signed the purchase order.
A clock that does not change in spring
Saskatchewan keeps Central Standard Time all year, so its offset with other provinces and countries shifts twice a year when they change their clocks. For a project with a launch date, a livestream or a review call, we confirm every time in Saskatoon time and flag the weeks when the gap moves.
Most of the work is asynchronous anyway. You upload material when it suits you, comment on a version in the evening if that is when the office is quiet, and receive the next cut with a note on what changed. Calls are kept for decisions that need a conversation.

Starting from the library you already have
Organizations here often own more usable material than they think: catalogue shots, photos from a trade show at Prairieland Park, interior images from a renovation, drone stills from a summer event. We review that library first and tell you what can carry a film and what is missing.
When there are gaps, we suggest a short shot list your staff or a local photographer can complete, which is often less disruptive than a production day. We never fill a gap by generating a place, a person or a product and presenting it as yours.

When a Saskatchewan crew is the right call
Interviews, live events, demonstrations of physical work and documentaries need a camera in the room. Saskatchewan has film and video professionals for that, and Creative Saskatchewan supports the province's screen sector. If your brief depends on real capture, we say so at the start.
A mixed approach often works: local footage for the human moments, our sequences for products, processes and places drawn from your photographs. We edit, grade and mix both into one film, so the result feels consistent rather than assembled from two suppliers.

Plan the details
Do you have a Saskatoon office?
No. We work remotely and say so in every proposal. Everything happens through shared folders, written briefs and online review.
What does a first project usually look like?
Often a single film of a minute or two, plus vertical and square cutdowns, built from photographs you already hold. The quote sets the exact scope.
How do we compare your proposal with a local studio's?
Compare deliverables line by line: formats, versions, review rounds, usage rights and what each supplier needs from you. The approaches differ, so the total alone tells you little.
Can you work alongside our brand agency?
Yes. We follow their guidelines and files, and they can review cuts together with your team.
Start with your images
Send a short description of the film you need, the people who must approve it and a sample of your photo library, and we will reply with a proposed scope.
