AI video production in Cardiff: ad films with real products and a Welsh voice
An advertising film for a Cardiff brand needs what any good commercial needs: one idea, a script and a look. What changes with AI is how the images are made. Notlith creates ad films remotely from your real product and venue photographs, using AI for image and motion generation inside a process of creative direction, editing, grading, music and sound, with clear limits on what we will generate.
Remote production · From your photos

Start with a sentence, not a style
Before anything is generated, we agree the idea in a single sentence. For a Cardiff coffee roaster it might be the morning ritual; for a clothing label, the way a jacket handles the wind coming off the Bay. A strong line survives translation into Welsh, which matters if the campaign will run in both languages. Then we write the script and the treatment.
The treatment fixes light, colour, pace and music before production starts. It draws on your brand references and the textures of the product rather than on a generic AI aesthetic. You approve it, so the generated shots that follow serve a direction you chose, not whatever a model produced on its first attempt.

Lines we will not cross
We do not generate the Principality Stadium full of supporters, the Senedd behind your product or a castle wedding that never took place. Landmarks, crowds and public figures belong to reality, and faking them in an advert misleads viewers. If the city should appear, it comes from rights-cleared images you supply, used as context.
The same rule covers people and products. No synthetic testimonials, no invented features, no packaging that differs from what is on the shelf. Each product shot is compared frame by frame with your photographs for shape, colour, finish and lettering, and every synthetic shot is listed so it can be labelled wherever a viewer might assume real footage.

One master, many cuts
A campaign rarely runs in a single format. We deliver a widescreen master for YouTube, cinema advertising or your website, then recompose vertical and square versions for Reels, TikTok and feeds instead of simply cropping them. Each cut keeps the product readable and the message intact, and shorter bumper edits can follow from the same approved material.
Language versions are produced from the locked master. A Welsh voice-over or Welsh titles are checked by a fluent reader you appoint, and English versions can be adapted for audiences elsewhere in the UK. Feedback comes in two rounds, first on the edit and then on the grade and mix, which keeps the project focused.

When a camera does it better
Some ads depend on real moments: a rugby player in training, a chef at the pass in a Bay kitchen, a choir in rehearsal. These should be filmed, and we will recommend a crew when the idea needs one. AI suits product, interior, still-life and atmospheric work, where light and material carry the story and a studio day would add cost without adding much else.
Ownership and usage of the finished film, including paid media, broadcast and partner use, are set out in your quote before production begins. If the campaign later needs new cutdowns or a seasonal version for St David's Day or Christmas, these can be produced from the same assets on the terms already agreed.

Plan the details
Is an AI ad film suitable for television?
It can be. UK television ads go through Clearcast clearance and must meet broadcast delivery specifications, so tell us the destination in the brief and we will plan for both from the start.
Can the ad be in Welsh only?
Yes. We can create a Welsh-language master with Welsh titles and voice, checked by a fluent reviewer, and add an English version if you need one.
Will viewers know it was made with AI?
We recommend a short disclosure wherever generated imagery could be taken for real footage. Platform labels can be applied, and the approach is agreed with you.
What photographs do you need?
Sharp images of the product from every side, close-ups of materials and labels, and your brand references. For a venue, photographs of each space in its usual lighting.
