Restaurant and bar video in Aberdeen, for long summer evenings and early winter dark

Eating out in Aberdeen changes with the light. In June a terrace can stay bright late into the evening; in December the street is dark by mid-afternoon and the welcome happens indoors. Notlith makes restaurant and bar videos remotely from your photographs of the room, the dishes and the drinks, adding direction, AI-assisted motion, editing and sound without changing what you serve.

Two seasons, two films

A single video rarely suits both a bright summer evening and a wet November Friday. We often suggest a main film and a seasonal variant: the first built around your terrace, window seats or the view towards the street, the second around candles, warm glass and the bar after work.

Both versions use your own photographs from the relevant season. If you have no winter pictures yet, a few taken on a quiet weekday evening are enough. We will not darken a daytime photograph and call it night, because reflections and lamps give the trick away.

Belmont Street, the beach and the harbour

A cocktail bar on Belmont Street, a café near the Beach Esplanade and a seafood kitchen by the harbour sell very different evenings. The film should place the guest in your setting, not in a generic city. Licensed street photography can open the sequence, clearly separate from the interior.

If your room overlooks the water at Footdee or the Esplanade, say so, and send the actual view from a table. If it does not, we keep the sea out of the frame. Diners notice when the window in a video is not the window beside them.

Plates from the north-east

Menus here often feature North Sea fish, shellfish, beef from local herds and, at breakfast, butteries. Any provenance mentioned in the film, such as a named fishing port or farm, must match your menu and supplier records.

Dishes are animated from your own photographs, ideally shot from above and at a low angle. We keep portion size, garnish and plating as served. A steam or pour effect is allowed only where it would genuinely happen at the table, and seasonal dishes are labelled so they can be removed when the menu changes.

Responsible drinks content

A bar video can celebrate the craft behind a cocktail or a local gin without suggesting that alcohol brings confidence or popularity. UK advertising rules are explicit about this, and we write the script within them. Anyone shown drinking should be clearly adult, and we prefer to show the glass and the bartender's hands.

Platforms also apply their own age targeting for alcohol advertising, so the vertical cut is planned with that audience setting in mind. Booking links, opening hours and any offer appear as replaceable titles, so a change to your happy hour or a new Sunday lunch service only means swapping a card, not reopening the whole edit.

Plan the details

Can you add guests to make the room look busier?

No. We do not generate diners or drinkers. If people matter to the film, send photographs of real guests or staff who have agreed to appear.

Can the video show our whole menu?

It works better with a few signature dishes. A long menu belongs on your website, which the film can point to.

Can we update the video when the menu changes?

Yes. We plan replaceable dish scenes and titles, so a seasonal update does not require rebuilding the whole edit.

Do you photograph the dishes?

No. We work from your photographs. A local food photographer, or careful phone pictures in good light, are both workable.
