Hotel film in Aberdeen: one building, two kinds of guest

An Aberdeen hotel can host an engineer flying out from Dyce on Tuesday and a couple heading for Royal Deeside on Saturday. Notlith creates hotel films that speak to each of them honestly. We work remotely from photographs of your rooms, public spaces and surroundings, adding creative direction, AI-assisted movement, editing and sound without adding a single feature you do not have.

The midweek guest

A business traveller choosing between properties near the airport, in the West End or by the station is looking for practical answers: a desk that is actually usable, an early breakfast, parking, a quiet room before an offshore flight. A short film can show those things in the order the guest will need them.

We take those facts from your booking information and your photographs. If breakfast starts at a particular hour or a shuttle runs to the terminal, the film says so only if it is current. Nothing is implied about distances or transfer times beyond what you can confirm.

The weekend guest

Leisure guests may be visiting the city itself, Footdee and the beach, or using Aberdeen as a base for castles, golf and the drive west along the Dee. Their version of the film leans on the bar, the bath, a late check-out and the feel of the room in the evening.

Scenery beyond your walls must come from licensed photography and be presented as the region, not as a view from your windows. We will not composite Dunnottar or the Cairngorms into a bedroom window. A clear caption separates where guests can go from what the hotel itself offers.

Granite under a northern sky

Silver-grey granite looks different in a bright June evening and under December cloud. Photographs taken on a flat day can make a handsome frontage look dull, and an aggressive grade can turn it a colour it has never been. We correct exposure and contrast while keeping the stone recognisably itself.

If your exterior pictures are old or seasonal, tell us. A frontage photographed before scaffolding went up, a new entrance canopy or a changed sign will mislead guests on arrival. Where we need a fresh exterior, a careful phone photograph on a bright day is often enough.

Longer stays and room types

Some Aberdeen properties host contractors for several weeks, with kitchenettes or apartment-style rooms. Those stays need their own cut that shows storage, laundry and cooking facilities accurately, distinct from a standard double.

Each room category is built from its own photographs and labelled on screen. We do not borrow the larger suite's window for the classic room. Formats for your website, booking platforms and social channels are agreed in the quote, along with the review stages.

Plan the details

Can one film serve both business and leisure guests?

A single master can, but separate short versions usually work better because each audience looks for different information. They can share most of the footage.

Can you show the beach or harbour in our film?

Yes, using licensed images that are clearly presented as the surrounding city. We do not imply a sea view unless your rooms genuinely have one.

Our photographs were taken in winter. Is that a problem?

Not necessarily. We can work with them and adjust exposure carefully. If an exterior is too dark to be useful, we will ask for one new picture.

Do you visit the hotel?

No. Our production is remote. If you need a filmed walk-through with staff, a local crew is the right option.
