Venue and shop video in Napier: verandahs, leadlight and Ahuriri
In central Napier, many shops sit under verandahs inside 1930s buildings, so the sign a customer looks for may be above eye level or hidden by the canopy. A venue or shop video can show how to find you and what waits inside. Notlith makes these films remotely from your photographs and floor plans, with editing, colour and sound.

Under the verandahs of Emerson Street
Emerson Street is a pedestrian street lined with Art Deco and Spanish Mission frontages, most of them with verandahs over the footpath. From street level, the upper facade that makes the building famous can be invisible to someone walking past. A short film helps by showing the building as a whole and then the entrance at eye level.
We open with the facade from across the street, then lower the frame to the doorway as a passer-by would see it. Your signage and window appear exactly as photographed. Neighbouring shops are not removed or altered, so a customer recognises the block on arrival. That approach respects the street's character while still selling your business.

Leadlight, terrazzo and a new fit-out
Inside, some shops keep leadlight transoms, terrazzo thresholds or original ceilings beside a contemporary fit-out. Those details give a store character, and customers interested in the city's heritage notice them. They are also easy to lose in a quick edit that only shows the products. A slower shot, held for a moment, lets the viewer register them before the film moves on.
We show original features where your photographs confirm them and frame new joinery as new. Products on display are those you actually stock. If a period detail was removed in a past renovation, the film does not put it back. A detail shot of a period feature can then sit beside the products, rather than competing with them.

Converted buildings at Ahuriri
Around the inner harbour, older port and industrial buildings now house showrooms, studios, function rooms and bars, with the National Tobacco Company building nearby as a well-known landmark. These venues often sell space and character together. Visitors walking from West Quay or from the port on a cruise day may pass several of them without knowing what happens inside.
For a function venue, we sequence the film around capacity and layout: entrance, main room, service areas, outdoor space if any. Numbers come from your documents. A view of the harbour is shown only from windows that actually face it. Catering, sound and parking information are added as text that you can update without re-editing.
Taradale and the suburban centres
Taradale has its own main street and shopping area, and centres such as Greenmeadows and Onekawa serve their neighbourhoods. Customers usually arrive by car and want to know about parking before anything else. The film should get them from the road to the door with as few steps as possible, including the entrance they should use.
We give a short opening on the street and the car park, then go straight to the counter or showroom. Opening hours and services are written as text. A seasonal display can be cut as a replaceable scene, so the film stays useful when the window changes. A version for opening specials or a new range can be prepared in the same project.

Plan the details
Can you show our building's full facade?
Yes, from your photographs or licensed images. We do not regenerate decorative details that differ from the real building. Licensed images are credited where needed.
Can the film work for a function venue and a shop together?
We can make two edits from one project, each with its own order and end card. The core material is shared, which keeps the budget focused.
Do you need a floor plan?
For venues, yes. It helps us order the sequence and keeps capacity and layout statements accurate. A simple hand-drawn plan with approximate dimensions is enough to start.
Can you remove clutter from photos?
Minor clean-up, yes. We do not remove permanent features or change the size of a space. The space must look as it will on arrival.
Start with your images
Send photographs of the street frontage, the doorway and the main interior, plus your floor plan if you hire out space.
