Restaurant and bar video in Napier: from the deco centre to the vineyard terrace
Eating out around Napier can mean a dining room in the Art Deco centre or a long lunch on a vineyard terrace at the edge of town, with produce from the plains on the menu. A short film helps diners choose the right place for the occasion. Notlith produces restaurant and bar videos remotely from your photographs, menus and brand files, with editing, colour, music and sound.

Lunch on a vineyard terrace
Vineyards border Taradale and stretch north towards Bay View and the Esk Valley, and some of them serve food beside the cellar door. Diners drive out for a long lunch, so they want to know the season's hours, whether booking is needed and who will drive home.
We open on the approach and the terrace as they look in your photographs, then move to the table and the plates. Opening days are shown as text, because many winery kitchens change hours through the year. Wine appears with the food, never as the point of the visit, and a note about transport options can close the film.

Two Hastings in one conversation
Napier has a Hastings Street running through its centre, a few minutes from Emerson Street and Tennyson Street, and a neighbouring city also called Hastings. A visitor reading a short caption can easily confuse them. Visitors arriving from the airport or the port are the most likely to mix them up, especially on a phone with the sound off.
We write addresses in full, add the suburb or city where needed, and close on a map pin that matches your Google listing. Opening hours, kitchen times and booking methods are shown as text that you approve, so the film does not send diners to the wrong side of the region. The same care applies to the name of your suburb, whether Ahuriri, Onekawa or Taradale.

Plates from the Heretaunga Plains
Many Hawke's Bay menus change with what is coming off the orchards and gardens of the plains. A dish photographed in late summer may not be on the menu in winter, and diners notice when the film promises something they cannot order. The producers you work with can be named, provided they have agreed and the supply is current.
We build the food sequence from dishes you expect to serve for the life of the video, or we plan a seasonal swap of one scene. Each plate is graded against your photograph so it looks as it does at the pass. Generated garnish or extra portions are not added. Steam, sauce and texture stay as your kitchen actually produces them.

Groups, ships and set menus
Cruise ships call at Napier Port in season, and tour groups, sports teams and festival parties all arrive with fixed times and large numbers. A version of your film for group bookings can answer capacity, timing and dietary questions in under a minute. A group organiser usually needs this information before contacting you at all.
We cut that version separately from the consumer edit, with the room layout and set menu taken from your documents. Licensing details for any bar service are stated as you provide them, and drinks are shown responsibly, without emphasis on quantity. Group menus and pricing remain on your own documents, which the film points to.

Plan the details
Can the film show the vines if our terrace faces the car park?
Only from the places where the view really exists, such as a garden or a side room. We do not composite vines behind a table that does not face them.
Can you work from our menu photographs?
Yes. Clear photographs of each dish in good light are the starting point. We may ask for a second angle of signature plates. Lighting quality matters more than the camera used.
Can we update the film when the menu changes?
We can plan one or two scenes as replaceable from the start, so a seasonal update does not mean a new film. Swapping a single dish keeps the rest of the edit intact.
Do you need staff to appear?
No. If you want them, we use photographs they have agreed to share. We do not generate likenesses of your team. The film can focus on the room and the food instead.
