Commercial video production for Waterford

Waterford grew up on the south bank of the Suir, at the head of its harbour, and it still trades along that river. Notlith makes commercial films for businesses in the city and county without sending a crew: you share your photographs, artwork and references, and we add creative direction, a script, AI-assisted motion, editing, colour and sound.

From the Viking Triangle to the quays

The oldest part of the city, the Viking Triangle, has its point at Reginald’s Tower and holds the museums of Waterford Treasures, including the Bishop’s Palace on the Mall. West of it, the shopping streets meet at John Roberts Square, and the quays run along the Suir towards the railway station on the opposite bank. Each of these places has its own character, and a business in any of them deserves to be shown where it really stands.

That is the principle behind our Waterford work. We build films around what a viewer must recognise, whether a shopfront, a room, a product or a route, using the images you hold. We do not generate towers, walls or riverside scenes to give a business a heritage setting it cannot photograph.

Glass, harbour and the South-East

Waterford’s name has long been linked with glass, and the House of Waterford Crystal still makes it on the Mall. The port at Belview, the life-sciences plants around the city and the Waterford campus of South East Technological University give the economy a wider base, while hospitality looks to the Greenway, Tramore and the Copper Coast. As the main city of the South-East, it is also a base for firms whose customers live well beyond the county boundary.

Those sectors ask very different things of a film. A gift shop needs reflections handled with care, a logistics firm needs a process explained, a guesthouse needs a guest’s day made clear. Our service pages for Waterford take each brief separately, with its own local detail.

How we work, and where we stop

Notlith has no Waterford office and no camera crew. We direct, generate, edit and finish remotely, which suits product launches, venue and property presentations, social campaigns and explainers built from existing images. Interviews, live events and documentary records need real footage, and for those we recommend a local videographer and can edit what they film.

A project starts with your brief and a review of your files. We then agree the script, the formats such as landscape, vertical and square, any version in Irish, and the review rounds. Scope, deliverables and permitted uses are written into the quote before production begins.

Preparing your film

Do you film in Waterford?

No. We work from the photographs, artwork and references you send. When genuine footage is needed, a Waterford videographer can capture it and we can edit and finish their material.

Can the film feature Reginald’s Tower or the quays?

Yes, from licensed photographs you provide, captioned as the city setting. We never generate or alter recognisable Waterford places to suggest they belong to your business.

Can you produce a version in Irish?

Yes, from a translation you approve and ideally a human voice you choose, with the same design as the English version. County Waterford has its own Gaeltacht, so dialect is worth discussing.

What should we send first?

A few lines on the purpose of the film, where it will run, your clearest current photographs and anything that must appear exactly, such as a label, an entrance or a floor plan.
