Restaurant and bar videos in Kilkenny, between stone walls and the Medieval Mile

Kilkenny has brewed ale for centuries, and its pubs and restaurants sit in buildings older than most of the recipes served in them. That setting is an asset, but it is shared with every neighbour on the street. A video has to show what is particular to your kitchen or bar. Notlith produces it remotely from your food, drink and room photographs, with a script, AI-assisted motion, editing and sound.

The city’s brewing story is not your logo

Smithwick’s was brewed beside St Francis Abbey from the eighteenth century until production moved to Dublin, and the old brewery is now a visitor experience. That history is part of why people walk Parliament Street, but it belongs to the city and to a brand that is not yours.

Your video can pour a pint you actually serve, photographed in your own glass. We avoid suggesting any link with a brewer that you do not have, and any alcohol content follows the Irish rules on alcohol advertising, which we check with you before the script is final.

Low ceilings, thick walls and candlelight

Dining rooms in old stone buildings are often dark, with small windows and warm lamps. Phone photographs struggle in them, and a generated brightening can make the room look like somewhere else. The aim is to keep the atmosphere guests come for while making the food legible.

We grade each plate separately from the room, so a dish looks as it does on the pass and the walls keep their colour. If a room is too dark to read, we ask for one more photograph with the lights up rather than inventing detail.

Daytime trade on the Medieval Mile

Between the castle and St Canice’s, cafés and lunch spots serve people on foot with a map in hand. A short vertical film for them should give opening hours, the type of food and how to find the door, perhaps from a slip off High Street.

We keep it under a few seconds per idea: the counter, the dish, the street sign. A separate evening cut can carry the slower dinner story, so neither audience has to sit through the other’s film. Both can point to the same booking page or map pin.

Ready for Savour Kilkenny

The food festival over the October bank holiday weekend brings tastings, demonstrations and special menus. If you take part, your video needs the exact dishes, dates and booking method, and it must not use festival branding without permission.

We prepare a seasonal cut from your autumn menu photographs, then a plainer version for the rest of the year. Prices stay off the video, so a change in cost does not date it.

Plan the details

Can the video show our staff?

Yes, if they agree and you send their photographs or short clips. We never generate chefs, bartenders or guests, because regulars will know at once who works behind your bar.

Can we advertise drink offers?

We can show the drinks you serve, but promotions involving alcohol are regulated. We check the wording with you against current Irish rules before delivery.

We change the menu often. Is a video worth it?

Yes, if it is built around the room and a few constant dishes. We can swap seasonal plates into the same structure later.

Can you mention our building’s history?

Yes, using facts you can source, such as a date or a former use. We keep legends clearly marked as legends.

Start with your images

Send photographs of the room by day and night, your signature dishes or drinks, and your opening hours, and we will draft both cuts.
