Hotel film in Kilkenny, honest about the walk, the room and the car park

Kilkenny guests usually want to know three things before booking: how far the castle and the Medieval Mile are on foot, what the room is really like, and where to leave the car. A good hotel film answers all three before they ask. Notlith produces it remotely from your own photography of rooms, dining and grounds, adding script, gentle AI-assisted motion, editing, colour and sound.

Inside the old city or out by the ring road

Properties on the Parade, Rose Inn Street or John Street can sell the short walk to the castle, St Canice’s and the pubs. Hotels near the ring road or on the edge of town offer space, quiet and parking instead. Both are real advantages, and a film that pretends one is the other loses trust at check-in.

We open with a plain map drawn from your address and route times you have walked yourself. Views of Kilkenny Castle or the Nore come from licensed photographs, labelled as the city, and appear only if a guest can reach them as described.

Period rooms at their real proportions

Many rooms in the centre are in older buildings, with sash windows, uneven floors and fireplaces that cannot be moved. That character sells, but a wide-angle lens and enthusiastic motion can make a small room look like a suite. Guests who feel misled say so in reviews.

We keep camera moves slow and lines straight, and we label each room category separately. If only some rooms keep original features or face the river, the film says which. Nothing is added to the décor that is not there.

A base for the Nore valley

Guests often use Kilkenny for trips to Jerpoint Abbey, Kells Priory, Dunmore Cave or the riverside villages of Inistioge and Thomastown. If your reception books tours, lends maps or packs lunches, that service is worth a sequence of its own.

We show the service, not the countryside as if it belonged to you. Images of the abbeys or the river come from licensed sources and are captioned by name. A simple day plan, with the order of stops and a return in time for dinner, is often more persuasive than scenery.

Parking, arrival and the morning after

Streets in the medieval core are narrow, and parking is a real question for anyone driving in from the N10. If you have spaces, a set-down point or an arrangement with a nearby car park, show it in a short arrivals clip. Guests arriving by train at MacDonagh station need the walking route instead.

We finish with breakfast and a reason to return in another season, for example the Arts Festival in August or a quieter winter break. Each cut is sized for your website, booking engine and confirmation emails, as listed in the quote.

Plan the details

Can you remove the cars outside our front door?

We can tidy a photograph lightly, but we will not remove permanent street features or parking that guests will see. The film has to match the arrival they actually experience.

Our rooms differ a lot. How many need photographing?

One clear set per room category, plus anything distinctive such as a four-poster, a bath or a river view. We tell you if a category is missing before we start editing.

Can we run a festival version?

Yes. We cut a version that mentions the dates of a public festival in plain words, without using its logo unless you are an approved partner.

Can the film show the castle grounds?

Yes, from licensed photographs captioned as Kilkenny Castle Park. We never place your hotel inside or beside them unless that is where it stands.

Start with your images

Send photographs of each room type, the common areas and the entrance, plus your walking times to the castle and the station, and we will draft the opening sequence.
