Notlith · Kilkenny
Video production company in Kilkenny for the city and the whole county
Notlith is a remote video production company. For businesses in Kilkenny, from the city centre to Callan, Castlecomer or Graiguenamanagh, we turn existing photographs, artwork and references into finished hybrid films: creative direction, script, AI-assisted imagery, editing, colour, music and sound. We have no local office and send no crew, and this page explains what that means for your project.
Remote production · From your photos

The same process from Patrick Street to the end of a boreen
Because nobody travels, a business in Thomastown or Urlingford works with us exactly as one on Patrick Street would. There is no travel day to schedule, and a farmyard in the north of the county is as easy to work for as a shop near the castle.
That also suits firms with several sites. Each location is represented by its own photographs and named correctly, so a county-wide business can appear as it is, rather than through one flagship premises. Reviews happen by link and email, so a manager on the road can approve a cut from a phone.

What a hybrid film is made of
A hybrid film combines your real images with generated motion, light and transitions. Your product, room or work stays as photographed; AI fills in camera movement, background atmosphere or a sequence between two real shots.
The editing, grading, music and sound design are done by people. We decide where AI is useful and where it is not. A slow push across a sunlit counter can be generated; the counter itself cannot. We will not generate people speaking, customers using a service or places presented as yours.

Who takes the photographs
Good source images matter more than anything else. If yours are dated or few, a Kilkenny photographer can shoot to a shot list we prepare, with the angles, details and light each scene needs.
Phone photographs often work too, if they are sharp and taken in daylight. Kilkenny’s low winter light can be lovely but makes dark limestone interiors hard to read, so we sometimes ask for a second set taken earlier in the day.

What you receive at the end
Delivery is a master film plus the cutdowns agreed at the start, typically landscape, vertical and square, with subtitles in English and, if requested, Irish. Each file is named so your team knows where it goes.
We also send a short note listing which shots use generated imagery, so you can label the film where your platforms or policies require it. Usage rights and the number of review rounds are set out in the quote. Source files and project notes are kept so a later update, such as a new product or address, can reuse the same structure.

Plan the details
Do you have an office in Kilkenny?
No. We work remotely by email and video call, and nothing in the process requires a visit. A short call at the start is usually enough to agree the brief.
Can you work with our local photographer or videographer?
Yes. We can brief them with a shot list, then edit and finish what they capture alongside the hybrid sequences.
When is a crew the better choice?
For interviews, live events, testimonials and anything that depends on real people in action. We will say so if your brief is one of those.
Who owns the finished film?
The ownership and usage terms are set out in the quote before production starts, so you know what you can do with each file.
