Event video in York: selling a date people travel for
Many York events ask people to travel, book a room and plan around a fixed date: a meeting on the Knavesmire, a festival in February, a conference on campus, a market in the winter streets. The video that sells them has to carry practical detail as well as mood. Notlith produces event videos remotely from your photographs, programme and brand material, with AI-assisted motion, editing and sound.

Trips planned around a fixed date
When most of an audience needs an overnight stay, the first announcement matters more than the final reminder. A short teaser with the date, the venue and how to buy tickets gives visitors time to arrange travel and accommodation. A fuller cut follows once speakers, performers or the programme are confirmed, so nothing is announced before it is settled.
We keep travel statements tight. A film can say the venue is in York and show its entrance, but rail connections, journey times and hotel availability belong on your booking page, where they can be updated. We will not suggest partner rates or packages unless you have them in writing.

Race meetings and hospitality on the Knavesmire
York Racecourse holds meetings through the season, including the Ebor Festival in August. Hospitality sellers, caterers and nearby businesses often need a film that explains what a ticket or package actually includes: which enclosure, what dress code, which dining option. Clarity on those points saves a lot of disappointed messages on the day.
We build these films from approved images of the facilities and from your own package details. We do not generate horses, finishes or crowds, and broadcast racing footage belongs to its rights holders, so it only appears if you hold a licence. The atmosphere comes from grading, sound and pacing instead.

Winter streets and the Viking festival
The Jorvik Viking Festival brings re-enactment and family events to the city in February, and the Christmas market fills central streets in the weeks before Christmas. Both happen outdoors, in short daylight and uncertain weather. A useful promotional film sets honest expectations: lit evenings, warm clothing, what happens where, and what is free or ticketed.
Photographs from previous editions can carry that story when you hold the rights, and we label them as past years. We never add generated costumed performers or crowds to make a programme look fuller. For a stallholder or partner event, we keep your contribution distinct from the wider festival organisation.

Conferences on campus and in the city
Academic and professional conferences use the University of York campus at Heslington, the racecourse and city-centre venues such as the Barbican. Delegates want to know the rooms, the session format and how to move between buildings. A calm film built from floor plans and venue photographs can answer those questions before registration closes.
Afterwards, a recap made from your photographer's images helps the next call for papers or sponsors. Sponsor and speaker versions can carry their own end cards. Speakers' names and logos appear only with permission, and quotations come from real attendees who agreed to be cited, never generated.

Plan the details
Do you film the event itself?
No. We work remotely from your photographs, programme and brand assets. For live coverage you need a camera operator on the day; we can then edit their footage into a recap.
Can we reuse last year's photographs?
Yes, if you hold the rights. We mark them as an earlier edition so nobody reads them as a promise about this year's line-up or set.
What if the programme changes after release?
We plan dates, names and prices as replaceable end cards, so a change becomes a short edit rather than a new film.
Can the film target visitors from outside Yorkshire?
It can, through captions and versions you choose for each channel. Travel advice stays factual and points to your own booking information.
