Event video in Norwich: medieval halls, a church, an atrium and a showground

Norwich events often take place in buildings with a longer history than the event itself: friary halls, a medieval church turned arts venue, a glass atrium beside St Peter Mancroft, a showground west of the city. A promotional film has to sell your date without pretending the building is yours. Notlith makes event videos remotely from your programme, photographs and licensed images, with creative direction, AI-assisted motion, editing and sound.

St Andrew's and Blackfriars' Halls

The Halls on St Andrew's Street grew out of a medieval friary, and they host fairs, concerts and dinners through the year. Each October CAMRA's Norwich Beer Festival fills both halls. If your own fair, sale or concert is booked there, the promo needs to show the space honestly: the nave, the stalls, the long tables, without crowds you cannot vouch for.

We work from venue photographs the operator lets you use and from pictures of your previous editions. Where those are thin, we build the film on typography, your poster artwork and sound, and keep the building as a recognisable backdrop rather than a generated fantasy. Date, opening times and ticket details come from your confirmed listing.

A gig in a former church

Norwich Arts Centre occupies St Swithin's, a medieval church on St Benedicts Street, and the city has other churches now used for music, theatre and talks. Promoting a show in such a room means working with arches, stone and limited sightlines, not against them. Your artist's photos and the venue's own images carry the visual identity.

For touring acts, the promoter's assets and the artist's approved press shots are the starting point; we never generate a performer, an imaginary audience or a fake clip of a set. A vertical cut for listings and a silent loop for the venue's screens can come from the same edit, each with the right door time.

Talks and stands at the Science Festival

Norwich Science Festival takes place each October, with The Forum at its centre. Research groups, companies and charities run talks and stands, and each competes for attention in a busy programme. A short film for one session should tell a family or a curious adult what they will actually do or see, in a few seconds.

Animation helps when the subject is invisible, such as soil microbes, gut bacteria or plant genetics, provided the scientists sign off on what the images imply. We check each frame against your explanation, and any illustrative model is labelled as such. The festival name and logos appear only within the organisers' published guidance.

Show days at Costessey

The Royal Norfolk Show is held at the Norfolk Showground on the western edge of the city. Exhibitors, breed societies and trade stands use the weeks before show days to tell visitors where to find them and what is on the stand. A short promo answers that: stand location, demonstrations, what can be bought or booked.

We build it from photographs of your stand, your machinery or livestock, and the show's own published information. We do not generate livestock, judges or prize rosettes. After the show, a recap uses only real photographs taken on the day, so the film never suggests results or footfall it cannot show.

Plan the details

Can you make a promo before we have photos of this year's event?

Yes. Previous editions, venue images and your artwork are usually enough. The film should not present last year's pictures as this year's line-up, so we caption them where needed.

Do we need permission to show the venue?

You need rights to any photograph used. Many venues supply images to hirers; we ask you to confirm the terms before they go into the edit.

Can you film on the day?

No. We work remotely. For coverage of the event itself, book a local photographer or videographer, and we can edit their material into a recap.

Can the same film serve several dates?

Yes, with a separate end card per date or venue, each checked against your confirmed listings.

Start with your images

Send us the event listing, your poster artwork, photographs of past editions and the venue's image terms, and we will propose a promo.
