Video production company for Limerick: a remote studio, and when to choose one

Limerick has a working screen sector, with local crews, freelance camera operators and the studio complex at Troy in Castletroy. Notlith is a different kind of video production company: a remote hybrid studio that builds commercial films from your own photographs and references. This page sets out what that model does well, where it does not fit, and how a project with us runs from first message to delivery.

What a remote studio is for

Our method suits briefs where the subject already exists in photographs: a product, a room, a building, an interface. Instead of organising a shoot day, we direct the film from those images, using AI-assisted generation for camera moves and atmosphere, then editing, grading and scoring it.

That makes sense for a Limerick business that needs a polished film without closing the shop, clearing the office or waiting for dry weather on the quays. It also helps when the subject cannot easily be filmed, such as a product still in packaging development, or a hotel wing that is being refurbished while the rest stays open.

When you should hire a crew instead

Interviews, testimonials, documentary coverage of people at work and live events all need a camera in the room. A Limerick-based crew can be on site the same morning and capture things no reference photograph contains. We will tell you plainly if your brief is one of these, and suggest what to ask a crew when you contact them.

Sometimes the answer is both. A local videographer records a short interview with your founder, and we build the product and setting sequences around it. You own the relationship with each supplier; we handle the edit. Agreeing frame rate, colour profile and file delivery in advance saves time later.

How a project runs without a meeting room

You send a brief and your material by email or shared folder. We review it and reply with the questions that matter: who the film is for, where it will run, which facts must appear. Then we propose a direction, a script or title sequence and a list of shots.

Once you approve that direction, we produce a first cut. Feedback is gathered in agreed review rounds, with comments placed on the timeline. Final files are delivered in the formats listed in the quote, together with a note of which shots are generated and the source images each one was built from.

Questions to ask any production company

Whoever you choose, ask who owns the finished film and for which uses, how many review rounds are included, and what happens if the brief changes midway. With us, usage and ownership are written into the quote rather than assumed.

Ask too how they handle AI. We use it for imagery and motion, not to invent customers, staff, landmarks or product features. Where a viewer could mistake a generated shot for filmed reality, we recommend a visible disclosure. A reputable production partner, remote or local, should be comfortable answering these questions in writing.

Plan the details

Do you have a studio in Limerick?

No. Notlith works remotely and has no Limerick office or crew. All production happens from your supplied material.

Can we work with your studio and a local crew together?

Yes. Send us the footage your crew records, and we integrate it with the sequences we build. Agree file formats with them before the shoot.

What kinds of businesses suit your approach?

Product brands, hospitality, property, retail and software companies whose subject can be shown from good photographs or screens.

Do you write the script?

Yes, as part of creative direction. You approve the script and every factual statement before production starts.
