Event promotional video in Perth, ahead of the season

Most of Perth's event calendar is decided by summer: Fringe World fills January and February, Perth Festival runs into March, and Sculpture by the Sea returns to Cottesloe each autumn. An organiser usually needs a promotional video before any of it has happened. Notlith builds that film remotely from your poster artwork, venue photographs and confirmed programme, using AI-assisted motion, editing and sound to sell tickets without pretending the event has already taken place.

Selling a show that does not exist yet

A pop-up venue in the Perth Cultural Centre or a tent in a city garden is often assembled weeks before opening. What exists early is the key art, the line-up and perhaps last year's photographs. We design the film around those assets and around the question a buyer actually has: what will I see, where, and when. Everything else in the edit supports those three answers.

Images from a previous edition are labelled as such if they appear. We do not generate a packed audience, a performer who has not been confirmed or a stage set that has not been built. The nightlife demo shows rhythm and light only; it is fictional and represents no Perth event. Our role is to make the real programme attractive, not to imagine a better one.

Afternoon sea breeze, evening start times

Outdoor programming in Perth tends to shift towards the evening during the hot months, when the afternoon sea breeze locals call the Fremantle Doctor has cooled things down. If your event runs at sunset on the coast or after dark in Northbridge, the film's light and colour should match that. Midday glare would mislead.

Weather contingencies matter too. If a session may move indoors, keep the venue wording general or prepare an alternative end card. A food and wine programme in the Swan Valley, for instance, might need separate edits for the main day and for the dinners that sit around it. Each edit then carries the start time and dress cues that fit its own setting.

Naming the venue accurately across the river

Perth events spread across very different sites: the Burswood stadium precinct, the convention centre on the river, Claremont Showground, Fremantle's warehouses. Supply photographs of the exact space being used, with entrances and layout if they matter for ticket holders. We never substitute a better-known landmark for a less photogenic hall.

Trade shows and conferences have their own needs. Exhibitors want to see floor plans and session tracks, not fireworks. For a business event at the convention centre, a concise film with the dates, themes and registration path may outperform a cinematic montage. We agree the tone with you before any motion work starts.

Cutdowns that follow the announcements

Line-ups are rarely announced all at once. We can plan a master edit with replaceable segments, so a second wave of artists or a sold-out session can be reflected in a new vertical cut without rebuilding the whole piece. Each version keeps the same visual system.

Logos of sponsors, venues and funding bodies need their own approval. List which marks must appear and which wording each partner requires. The quote sets out how many versions and review rounds are included, and when the final artwork must reach us. Late changes to the line-up can then be absorbed without stress.

Plan the details

Can you film our event in Perth?

No. We do not send a crew. If you need live coverage, hire a local videographer; we can then edit their footage alongside the promotional material we create.

We only have a poster. Is that enough?

It can be enough for a short teaser, provided the dates, venue and programme are confirmed. Venue photographs and performer images widen what the film can show. Seating plans help if your venue sells reserved places.

Can we mention Fringe World or Perth Festival?

Only with the wording and marks you are authorised to use as a registered participant. We do not imply an affiliation you have not confirmed in writing. Independent shows can still say where and when they play.

Will the demo be adapted for our event?

No. The nightlife piece is a fictional example of pacing. Your film is built from your own artwork, venue images and approved copy.
