Event promotional video in Hobart: a summer calendar and a midwinter one
Hobart's events calendar has a summer peak around the waterfront and a midwinter season built on darkness, fire and music. Each asks for a different kind of promotion. Notlith makes event films remotely from your past photographs, your program and your branding, adding script, AI-assisted motion, editing, colour and sound. We never generate a crowd you did not have or a performer who is not booked.

Summer on the docks
Late December brings the Sydney to Hobart fleet into Constitution Dock, and the Taste of Summer festival occupies the waterfront around the new year. An event promoted in that window competes with a full calendar and long evening light. The film has to establish your date, your exact spot on the wharves and why someone should choose you that night.
We build the opening from your own images of the site at the right hour. If you have none yet, a typographic film using your poster artwork, the program and one carefully chosen texture can be stronger than a generated scene that misrepresents the dock, the boats or the size of the audience.

Midwinter after dark
June and July change the tone. Dark Mofo, in the years it has run, and the Festival of Voices have given Hobart a winter audience for night events, and smaller organisers schedule around them. A promotional film for a June gig, dinner or installation can lean into cold air, red light and short days, as long as it shows your real venue.
Night scenes are where AI tends to improvise detail. We keep generated atmosphere to the edges of the frame and let your photographs carry the stage, the bar and the entrance. Where an artist appears, we use only press images cleared by their management, and we never imitate a performer's face or voice.

Conferences, shows and information-heavy events
Not every Hobart event is a festival. Scientific meetings linked to Antarctic and marine research, industry conferences in waterfront function rooms and the Royal Hobart Show at the Glenorchy showground each October need promotion that is mostly information: dates, speakers, registration, parking and public transport.
For these, we design films that read clearly with the sound off, built from your speaker headshots and venue photographs. A short card for each speaker, pavilion or session lets your team release the program in stages across several weeks of promotion, rather than squeezing everything into one crowded edit.

Weather, flights and details that will change
Visitors flying in from the mainland tend to commit to dates early, so an event film may circulate months ahead. Build it so that ticket tiers, support acts and the weather plan sit in separate on-screen cards. Swapping a card is quick and cheap; reworking a finished sequence is neither.
Hobart weather can turn within an afternoon, and an outdoor event needs a clear wet-weather line. If your program moves indoors when a cold southerly arrives, say so in the film and show the indoor space, so nobody turns up expecting an open wharf that has been closed for the evening.

Plan the details
Can you use footage from last year?
Yes, and it is often the most persuasive material you have. Send the files with permissions for anyone identifiable. We grade and edit them alongside new AI-assisted elements and label any illustrative passage.
Can the film show Constitution Dock or Salamanca Place?
Through your own photographs or licensed images, yes. We do not generate recognisable Hobart locations, because a slightly wrong warehouse facade or dock would undermine the event's credibility.
Can promotion start before the line-up is final?
Yes. We design the structure with placeholder cards, then add confirmed names as they are announced, so the film can launch early without promising acts that are not booked.
Do you film the event itself?
No. We have no crew in Hobart. For live coverage, hire a local videographer; we can then edit their footage into a recap or next year's promotion.
