Social video ads in Tauranga: clear in the sun, right in the details

A social ad for a Tauranga business is often watched outdoors, on a phone, in strong coastal light, and judged in a second. It also has to get local details right, from a macron in Pāpāmoa to the shopfront people will look for. Notlith makes short social video ads remotely from your product and venue photographs, with AI-assisted motion, editing and sound, in each platform's formats.

Readable in full sun

People scrolling on the beach or a café terrace see their screens in harsh light. Fine type, pale colours and low-contrast footage simply disappear. We test frames at reduced brightness and on small screens, and favour bold product silhouettes, generous text and colours that hold up outdoors.

Captions are burned in for viewers who keep the sound off. Text sits inside each placement's safe zone, clear of profile icons and buttons, and the vertical, square and landscape versions are composed separately rather than cropped from one another. A crop that cuts the product's base is redone, not accepted.

Place names spelled the way locals read them

Pāpāmoa, Ōmokoroa, Mauao and Tauranga Moana carry macrons and meanings, and an ad that drops them or mispronounces them in a voice-over is noticed. We set te reo Māori names correctly in titles, and any wider use of te reo in your copy comes from a fluent speaker you trust.

The same care applies to tone. Kiwi phrasing can make an ad feel at home, but slang that does not match your brand reads as borrowed. We write captions in New Zealand English, with British spelling, and keep humour or local references only where your team is comfortable owning them.

A shopfront people can find from the feed

For a shop or café on Maunganui Road, in Greerton Village or near the waterfront, the ad's job is often to make the building recognisable. Your own frontage, sign and entrance, taken from your photographs, help someone walk in later. A view of Mauao they already know does not.

If you want a version for cruise visitors with a few hours ashore, it can lead with what is within walking distance of the wharf and how to find you, as long as both are true. Targeting itself is set in your ad account; the video only has to be right for the person who sees it.

Ads for shoppers overseas

Bay of Plenty food and drink brands may run social ads in export markets, where nobody knows the Bay. The opening should show the product as it sits on that market's shelf, with the export label, before any orchard or coastline. Origin can come later, in a line you have approved.

Subtitles or titles in another language come from text you supply and have checked by a native speaker. Health, origin or sustainability claims follow the rules your advisers confirm for that market. We prepare separate files per market, so a New Zealand label never appears in an ad meant for another country.
