AI video production in Auckland: outdoor films between two harbours
Auckland sits between the Waitematā and Manukau harbours, and plenty of its brands sell to people who sail, run, tramp and swim before work. Notlith makes advertising films for outdoor and drinkware companies remotely, starting from their product photos, colourways and references. We bring the concept, script, AI-assisted imagery, editing, grade and sound, and we keep the bottle, lid and logo faithful in every frame.

A Kiwi morning, not a stock adventure
Outdoor advertising often reaches for mountains and drones. Auckland has quieter truths: a dawn swim at Takapuna, a run up Maungawhau before the office, a dinghy ride out to a mooring in Westhaven, kids on the sand at Piha after school. We choose one of those and let the product earn its place in it, without dramatic stunts.
The script describes each shot and sound, and comes with frames defining light, palette and how the bottle is held. Auckland weather changes fast, and a film can use that, shifting from bright sun to a squall in a single cut. Deciding that tone on paper first means we generate with purpose and revise less later.

Accuracy for the product and the place
Generated drinkware drifts easily. Lids change shape, powder coats shift colour, logos smear and a carry loop vanishes between two shots. We compare every frame with your packshots for proportions, finish and branding, and rebuild any shot that slips using the real product image. Insulation or durability claims only appear in words your testing supports.
We do not fake recognisable landmarks such as Rangitoto or the Sky Tower in a way that implies the brand filmed there or has an official link. Te reo Māori, when used, is written with care and reviewed by a fluent speaker, and Māori imagery is not used as decoration. Generated people are anonymous, never ambassadors or reviewers.

Summer, Matariki and the sailing season
Auckland's year shapes outdoor marketing. Summer and the Auckland Anniversary regatta in late January suit energetic, salt-water films. Matariki in midwinter invites reflection, gathering and a slower rhythm. Back-to-school and the start of the winter sports season are practical moments for drinkware. We build these as versions of a single master, so the product and the look stay consistent while the season changes around them.
Each master comes in 16:9 for YouTube and retail screens, 9:16 for Instagram and TikTok, and 1:1 for marketplaces and paid placements. Cuts are reframed by hand, so the bottle and its logo stay readable in vertical formats rather than drifting out of a cropped frame. Text is placed clear of the interface zones each platform reserves for buttons and captions.

Preparing the brief, and the honest alternative
Send sharp packshots of every colourway from several angles, close-ups of the lid and logo, test results that support your claims, and the brand guidelines. We review in agreed rounds, with all comments gathered against timecodes, and every film carries an AI disclosure suited to its platform. Usage of the finished film is written into the quote.
If your campaign depends on a named athlete or real footage from a race or expedition, filming that for real is the right call, and we will say so. A hybrid film can combine your real footage with generated scenes and precise product shots, giving you range across seasons and channels without organising a second shoot in uncertain weather.

Plan the details
Can you include te reo Māori?
Yes, where it fits your brand and audience. We work with a fluent reviewer and treat the language with respect rather than adding words for decoration.
Will the film show real Auckland beaches?
We evoke the coast without reproducing a specific beach or landmark as a filmed location. If you have your own footage or photos of a place, we can work them in.
What if our bottle comes in many colours?
Send a packshot of each colourway. We can make one master and swap the hero colour in cuts aimed at different audiences, checking each version for accuracy.
How long can the master film be?
Most campaigns use a master between fifteen and sixty seconds, plus shorter cutdowns. We recommend a length once we know your channels and the single idea.

Send us packshots of your colourways, the claims you can support and the season you want to target, and we will suggest a first creative route.
