AI video production in Galway: ad films that respect the west

Brands from Galway and the west often sell an idea of place along with the product: sea air, craft, Irish spoken in the next village. That is exactly where AI can mislead if handled carelessly. Notlith uses AI to build advertising films from your real photographs and references, then writes, directs, edits, grades and scores them remotely. The place in the film is the one you can stand behind.

The temptation of the generated coastline

It is easy to ask an image model for crashing Atlantic waves, a stone wall and a thatched cottage. The results look plausible and say nothing true about your brand. For a business on the Galway coast, that kind of borrowed scenery also risks looking like everyone else's advert.

We prefer to build the world of the film from what you have: your workshop near the Docks, your shop in the Latin Quarter, your actual view across the bay, your packaging. AI extends and animates that material, adds light and movement, and creates abstract or stylised scenes where no claim about a real place is made.

Writing one idea for a campaign

A commercial needs a single idea that fits in a sentence, a script that serves it and a look that makes it recognisable. For a Galway gin, that might be patience and the tide; for a medtech recruiter, precision; for a festival sponsor, energy. We agree the idea and the treatment with you before any shot exists.

From the approved master we prepare cutdowns in 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1, each recomposed rather than cropped. Seasonal moments common in the city, such as the summer festival weeks or the Christmas market in Eyre Square, can be planned as dated variations of the same film.

Irish on screen, done properly

Galway sits beside the Connemara Gaeltacht, and an Irish-language or bilingual version can mean a great deal to some audiences. It also exposes careless translation instantly. We produce Irish captions or voice from the master only with wording written or checked by a fluent speaker you nominate.

Other language versions follow the same process for export markets, from American English captions to German or French subtitles. Product fidelity is checked frame by frame in every version: label text, logo, colour and shape. Drifting details are corrected or the shot is rebuilt from your original photograph.

When a real camera serves you better

Some Galway stories should be filmed: a Macnas parade, a boat leaving Rossaveal, a maker explaining their craft in their own voice. Generating any of these would be a fake, and audiences close to the city would know. In those cases we will recommend a shoot, or a hybrid with your footage at the centre.

Where AI is used, we list the synthetic shots for you and advise transparent labelling. We do not create fake testimonials, crowds or product features. Usage rights for the finished film, including use outside Ireland, are set out in your quote.

Plan the details

Can AI make our product look like it was filmed on the coast?

Only if it is presented as a stylised scene and makes no claim about where the product is made or used. We will not imply origin or locations that are not true.

Can you make an advert for a drinks brand?

Yes, within Irish rules on alcohol advertising, which shape both script and imagery. Labels and bottle shapes are never altered.

How should we prepare our photographs?

Several sharp angles of the product, close-ups of labels, your brand guidelines and a few reference films you like. Those references help us agree a look quickly.

Will the film be labelled as AI?

We recommend it wherever viewers could mistake generated imagery for real footage, and we supply a list of synthetic shots so your team can decide.
