Notlith · Galway
Video production company for Galway, working remotely
Galway is a UNESCO City of Film, home to the Film Fleadh and close to TG4 in Connemara, so there is no shortage of people who can shoot. Notlith offers something else: a remote studio that turns your existing photographs and references into finished hybrid films, with creative direction, script, AI-assisted imagery, editing, colour, music and sound. This page explains how that works and when it is not the right fit.
Remote production · From your photos

A city with a screen tradition
Galway's film culture is real: the Fleadh has run for decades, the city holds a UNESCO creative city designation for film, and Irish-language broadcasting has deep roots in the county. That means local businesses can find crews, editors and animators nearby, and many productions should use them.
We are not a replacement for that ecosystem. We have no office or crew in Galway. What we offer is a different method for briefs where filming is out of proportion to the need: a product launch, a seasonal campaign, a property listing or a short brand film built from material you already hold.

How a remote production runs
It starts with a written brief and your files: photographs, logos, brand guidelines, product references and any wording that must appear. We reply with a creative direction, a short script and a description of the look. Only after you approve that do we generate shots, so the imagery follows a plan rather than inventing one.
You then review a first cut, request changes, and approve a final version. Grading, music licensing and sound design are included in the finishing stage. Video calls replace site visits. The number of review rounds and the list of deliverables are fixed in the quote, so everyone knows when the project is done.

Where we draw the line on AI
We use AI to animate and extend your real material, not to replace facts. No synthetic people introduced as your staff or customers, no invented landmarks, no product features that do not exist. Products are checked frame by frame against your photographs for shape, colour and text.
For Galway brands that trade on place, this matters more than usual. A film should not add a Connemara backdrop to a product made elsewhere or create a Latin Quarter crowd that never gathered outside your door. Synthetic shots are listed in the delivery notes, and we recommend clear labelling where viewers might take them for filmed footage.

When to hire a Galway crew instead
If the story depends on real people speaking, a live event, a documentary portrait of a craftsperson or a trad session in a pub, a camera in the room is the honest choice. We will tell you so at the start rather than produce an imitation.
Some projects combine both. A local crew can record interviews or a performance, and we can build the surrounding product shots, titles and versions from your photographs. Ownership and usage of the finished film, whichever route you take with us, are written into the quote.

Our films go beyond products: dining room, terrace, suite or office, we showcase your space from your own images.

Plan the details
Do you have a studio in Galway?
No. We work remotely and do not claim a local office or crew. Briefing, reviews and delivery happen online.
What kinds of films suit your method?
Product films, campaign spots, property and venue presentations, social ads and short brand films where your existing photographs carry the subject.
Can you work with footage our crew already shot?
Yes. We can edit, grade and extend genuine footage, adding product shots or titles, while keeping the real recordings clearly distinct from generated material.
Who owns the finished film?
Ownership and usage terms are set out in your quote before work begins, including the channels and territories where the film may run.
