Event video in Edmonton: promoting what has not happened yet
Edmonton’s calendar runs all year, from winter festivals on snow and ice to summer weekends of theatre and music, plus a steady flow of conferences. Notlith makes event promotion videos from your artwork, venue photos and line-up, using AI-assisted motion, editing and sound, produced remotely. The film sells the upcoming event honestly, without borrowing crowds or moments that have not happened.

Making February worth going out for
Edmonton has embraced winter events for years, from Ice on Whyte to the Silver Skate Festival and the Deep Freeze Byzantine Winter Festival. A winter organizer’s film has a specific task: convince people that bundling up is worth it. Warmth cues matter, such as fire pits, heated tents and hot drinks, but only those you will actually provide.
We build these films from your site plan, past photographs you hold rights to, and the program. Snow and night lighting can be stylized, but sculptures, stages or skating trails appear only if they will be there. Dates, times and weather contingencies sit in clear text, and a quick recut updates them if plans move.

Standing out in festival summer
Summer is crowded. K-Days, the Folk Music Festival at Gallagher Park, the Heritage Festival and the Fringe in Old Strathcona all compete for the same weekends and the same feeds. A smaller event or pop-up needs a precise promise: who it is for, what happens, and why this date. We usually start with that sentence before discussing visuals.
If you are part of a larger festival, such as a Fringe venue or a side event, check its brand guidelines before we use the festival name, colours or logo. Without permission, the film can still state the facts: the venue, the date and the show. Your own identity should carry the visuals.

Conferences and trade shows
Conferences at the Edmonton Convention Centre or exhibitions at the Edmonton EXPO Centre are promoted to professionals who weigh the agenda, the speakers and the travel. A short film can present the theme, a few confirmed speakers from approved photographs and the practical details. We do not generate speakers, sponsor logos or a full hall from imagination.
For exhibitors, a separate cut can show the floor plan and booth options using your documents. Registration deadlines and early-rate periods become text cards you can edit. A version with French captions may help an event that draws delegates from across Canada; you supply or approve the translation.

After the event, a different film
A recap made from your own footage and photographs is a record; a promo made with AI-assisted imagery is an invitation. We keep them apart. Next year’s teaser can reuse your real photos of the previous edition, captioned with the year, while generated scenes remain atmospheric and are never presented as evidence of attendance.
For a recurring event, we can design a template: a title sequence, music and end card that carry over from edition to edition. Only the dates, names and new highlights change. The quote sets the formats, lengths and review stages for each piece, so the template stays usable for your team.

Plan the details
Can you film our event live?
No. We do not send crews. For live coverage, hire a local videographer; we can then edit that footage alongside a promotional film if you wish.
We have no photos from previous years. Can we still promote it?
Yes. A first edition can be promoted with artwork, venue photographs and a clear program. The film presents it as new rather than implying a history.
Can the film show performers?
Only confirmed performers, from approved press images. We do not create likenesses of artists or put names on screen without their agreement.
When should we start?
Ideally before ticket sales open, so the main film and the cutdowns are ready together. The production schedule is agreed in the quote.
