Notlith · Hartford
Video production company for Hartford’s insurtechs, stages, Nook Farm and colleges
Notlith is a remote video studio with no crew in Connecticut. We make films from the documents, photographs, plan details and approved language an organization already holds, then add AI-assisted motion, editing, color and sound. In Hartford, that method fits a particular set of briefs, shaped by insurance carriers, the city’s stages, two writers’ houses on Farmington Avenue and the colleges in and around the city.

A startup pitching a pilot to a carrier
Hartford has long courted insurance technology startups, including through an accelerator backed by the city, the state and carriers such as Travelers and The Hartford. A young company in that position usually has a working product, a deck and a meeting with an innovation team that hears a steady stream of similar pitches.
The film has a narrow job: follow one claim, one policy or one underwriting decision through the product, using real interface captures and anonymized sample data. We animate the before and after without promising loss ratios or savings you cannot document. If the carrier's legal team wants to know where a figure comes from, the source is named on screen and in the script notes.

A season announcement for a downtown stage
Hartford Stage on Church Street produces its own plays each season, and The Bushnell on Capitol Avenue presents touring Broadway shows, concerts and talks. Their marketing teams announce a season months before the first performance, often before a single production photograph exists, with subscribers and group buyers as the first audience.
We build the announcement from the key art, rehearsal-room photographs and design sketches each production has cleared, with titles, dates and venue details on editable cards. We never generate actors, sets or audience reactions, and we do not imitate a touring production's licensed imagery. Once a show opens, photographs or footage from the theater's own photographers replace the placeholders in the same edit.

Two writers' houses on Farmington Avenue
The Mark Twain House & Museum and the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center stand side by side in the old Nook Farm neighborhood, where the two authors were neighbors in the late nineteenth century. Both run tours, talks and education programs, and both have to promote them with material that respects collections and rooms they cannot simply open to any camera.
We work from the photographs, archival images and object records each institution has cleared, adding slow camera moves, period typography and narration written with the curators. We never invent a room, a letter or a quotation, and we do not give the authors a synthetic voice. For a program built around a speaker or a performance in the house, filming on the night with a local crew is the honest choice.

Colleges recruiting across the capital region
Trinity College on Summit Street, the University of Hartford in West Hartford, UConn's downtown Hartford campus and Goodwin University across the river in East Hartford recruit very different students, from liberal arts applicants to adults training for manufacturing jobs. Their admissions and continuing-education offices need short films for open houses, program pages and recruitment fairs.
A program film works from real campus photographs, lab and workshop shots, and course details taken from the catalog. We can animate how a CNC certificate or an evening degree fits around a working week, but we never generate students or graduates, and placement claims appear only if the college can source them. Student testimonials remain a job for a camera, a consent form and a local crew.

Plan the details
Can you make a pitch film for a product that is still in beta?
Yes, if the screens you share are real. We use your actual interface and label anything that represents a planned feature, so a carrier's innovation team never mistakes a roadmap for shipped software.
Can a season film go out before production photographs exist?
Yes. We work from cleared key art and design material, label it as such, and swap in production photographs once the theater's photographer has covered the show.
Can a museum film use objects from our collection?
Yes, from photographs your institution supplies and has cleared for promotion. We do not reconstruct objects, rooms or documents with AI, and credits follow the wording your registrar provides.
Will you send a crew to our campus?
No. We have no crew in Connecticut. When a project needs interviews or live footage, a local crew films it and we edit, grade and finish their footage alongside the rest of the material.
Start with your images
Send us the brief, the material you are allowed to show and the date the film has to be ready, whether that is a demo day, a season launch or an open house.
