AI video production in Victoria: ad films for harbour tours and visitor experiences
Much of what visitors buy in Victoria is an experience: a harbour tour, a whale-watching trip, a kayak rental, a garden visit, an afternoon tea. Selling it before they arrive is the work of an advertising film. Notlith makes these commercials with AI from your real photographs and footage, adding a script, a visual idea, generated motion where it is honest, editing, colour, music and sound design.

One promise for the season
A tour operator can list a dozen reasons to book, but a commercial needs one. It might be the stillness of the water at the start of a morning trip, or the first view of the Inner Harbour from the deck. We agree that idea with you, write a short script around it and design a look before any image is generated.
The season shapes the plan. Spring openings, summer cruise days at Ogden Point and the shoulder months each call for a different emphasis, from booking early to filling a quiet weekday. We build the master so its message stays true across those phases, with captions you can update when dates move rather than re-editing.

Orcas are not generated
Wildlife is the clearest limit on what we will make with AI. A generated orca, sea lion or eagle in an advertisement for a real tour suggests a sighting the trip cannot guarantee, and it misleads the people you want to serve. Wildlife appears only in real footage or photographs you hold the rights to, with the species and context accurate.
AI does other work instead: animating your vessel from photographs, building a route map, extending a sky, creating transitions between real images. Every frame showing your boat, your guides or your premises is checked against your references. The same rule covers landmarks: the Parliament Buildings or Fisherman's Wharf appear only from licensed photography, never rebuilt.

Cutdowns for feeds, screens and travellers
One master in 16:9 feeds your website and booking platforms. Vertical 9:16 cuts serve social feeds and short-form video, and square 1:1 versions suit listings and partner pages. Each cutdown is reframed rather than cropped, so the key action and your name stay inside the safe area on every format and every screen.
Language versions are worth considering for a visitor business. French, as Canada's other official language, is an obvious candidate, and further languages can follow the markets you actually sell to. Translations are checked with you before delivery, AI-generated elements are labelled in line with each platform's disclosure rules, and ownership and usage of the film are set out in the quote.

What to send, and when to hire a boat and a camera
Start with your strongest photographs of the vessel or venue, guides who agreed to appear, the route, the booking page and any existing footage. Two or three commercials you admire help us understand the tone you want. Review rounds follow the script, the first cut and the final mix, each with a clear question to answer.
Some stories still need a real shoot. If the selling point is a live encounter, spray on the deck or the reaction of guests, a local crew on a real trip will capture it better than any generated scene. We will tell you that, and we can edit the footage they record into the campaign.

Plan the details
Will the ad say it uses AI?
We recommend clear labelling where platforms or regulations call for it, and we identify every generated element for you. How it is labelled publicly is decided together before publication.
Can you show a whale breaching if we have no footage?
No. We will not generate wildlife for a real tour. A film built on the vessel, the route and the crew can still sell the trip honestly.
Can the ad mention cruise passengers?
Yes, if you sell to them. Shore-excursion details, departure points and timings come from your own booking information, and we do not suggest a partnership with any cruise line.
Can the same film run on a screen at our ticket booth?
Yes. A silent loop with large captions can be cut from the master, so passers-by on the harbour walkway understand the trip without sound.
