Notlith · Adelaide
Video Production Company Adelaide: a remote studio, stated plainly
Adelaide has its own screen sector, with crews, post-production houses and studio facilities at Glenside. Notlith is a different kind of option. We are a hybrid studio working remotely, producing films from your photographs, documents and brand assets through creative direction, scripting, AI-assisted imagery, editing, grading and sound. This page sets out what that means for an Adelaide business, and where a local crew remains the better call.

What a remote studio can replace
Many South Australian businesses sell to customers they will never meet: wine exporters, online retailers, manufacturers in the northern suburbs supplying interstate clients. Their films often need to show a product, a space or a process clearly rather than capture a live moment. That is where a photo-based approach can save a shoot.
You send images, references and goals. We write a treatment, build reference frames for approval, generate and animate, then edit, grade and mix. Everything happens online, with review links at agreed stages. There is no day of filming to schedule around trading hours.

What it cannot replace
Interviews, live performances, documentary scenes and anything presented as having really happened need a camera. So does a founder speaking to customers, or a moment at Adelaide Oval you want people to believe they are watching. We do not simulate these, and we say so before quoting.
If you need both, you can commission a local crew for the real footage and send it to us for editing alongside the photo-based sequences. Many briefs are well served by that combination, and we will help you see where the line falls. A crew might record a short founder interview in your Thebarton workshop, for example, while we build the product sequences around it.

How decisions are made
Distance from the client changes how a production should be managed. Each stage ends with something concrete to approve: the script, the reference frames, a rough cut, the final. Comments are collected in one place, and nothing generated moves forward until you have seen the frame it comes from.
Time zones are part of planning. We schedule reviews so that your Adelaide team receives material during working hours, with clear deadlines for feedback. Delays usually come from unclear briefs, so we spend time on the brief at the start. A one-page summary of audience, placement and the single message to keep is often enough.

Honesty on AI and ownership
We use AI to generate and animate images, never to invent people endorsing you, places you do not occupy or features your product lacks. Synthetic shots are identified to you, and we advise when on-screen labelling is sensible for viewers.
Usage rights for the finished film, the number of revisions and the delivery formats are written into the quote before anything begins. We do not claim an office, staff or past clients in Adelaide; the demos on our site are fictional concepts.

A place to show off? We turn it into a film.
Our films go beyond products: dining room, terrace, suite or office, we showcase your space from your own images.

Plan the details
Can we meet in person?
We work remotely, through video calls and shared review links. If a face-to-face workshop is essential to your process, a local agency may suit you better.
Can you edit footage from our own crew?
Yes. Send the rushes with the shot list or notes, and we integrate them with any photo-based sequences in the same grade and sound mix.
What types of film do you make?
Product, hospitality, property, retail, event, service and corporate films. Each has its own page linked below with details for Adelaide.
How do we start?
Send a short brief, your clearest photographs and where the film will appear. We review them and propose an approach with a quote.
Start with your images
Send your brief and a handful of photographs, and we will tell you plainly whether a remote film suits it.
