AI video production in Vancouver: natural health product films that stay within the licence

Metro Vancouver is home to a number of companies making vitamins, botanicals, protein powders and other natural health products, sold in local health food stores and well beyond British Columbia. For these products, the licence decides what an advertisement may say. Notlith makes their films remotely, built with AI from real bottles and labels, with a script that starts from the claims Health Canada has already authorized.

The product licence is the first page of the script

A natural health product in Canada carries an eight-digit NPN and a set of authorized uses. Before we write a line, we read your licence and your label, and we list the exact phrases the film may use. The creative work happens around those phrases: the setting, the rhythm, the light, never a stronger version of the promise.

That constraint is helpful. Instead of a vague wellness montage, the film can follow one concrete situation that matches an authorized use, for example a grey November morning on the North Shore and a daily routine that includes your product. The idea is agreed with you and, if you wish, with your regulatory adviser before any image is made.

Ingredients on screen, exactly as listed

Botanicals are tempting to generate: a field of echinacea, a mushroom on a mossy log, berries glistening in rain. We show only ingredients listed on your label, and we never imply that they were grown or harvested in British Columbia unless your supplier documentation says so. When you have photos from your growers, we build those scenes from them.

The bottle, tub or sachet is composited from your packshots, so the NPN, the dosage line and the brand stay legible and unchanged. We generate no body transforming on screen, no glowing skin, no athlete who never used the product, and no figure in a lab coat implying an endorsement that does not exist.

English, French, and a version for across the border

Your Canadian label is bilingual, so the film comes in complete English and Canadian French versions, each written to read naturally and each showing the same authorized wording. On-screen text is placed separately in each language, since French lines often run longer and must not crowd the label.

If you also sell in the United States, the rules for supplement advertising there are different. We can prepare a separate cut for that market, but its wording comes from your US label and your advisers, not from us. Keeping the two versions apart avoids a Canadian claim drifting into an American ad, or the reverse.

From the store shelf to a Richmond feed

The master is cut for the places you actually sell: a silent loop for a screen beside the shelf in a health food store, 9:16 and 1:1 versions for social, and a 16:9 film for your website and retailer pages. If you advertise to Chinese-speaking customers in Richmond or elsewhere in the region, we can build a further cut from copy you have had written and approved.

When the credibility of the product rests on a person, such as a naturopathic doctor, a founder or a formulator explaining a choice, a real camera serves you better than any generated scene. We will tell you when that is the case, and those interviews can be combined with the product and setting shots we create.

Plan the details

Does the NPN have to appear in the film?

It appears on the bottle wherever the label is visible, because we composite your real packshot. Whether it should also appear as on-screen text is a decision for you and your adviser.

Who checks that the claims are compliant?

You and your regulatory adviser approve the script and the final cut. We keep the approved wording exactly as written and flag any image that could be read as an additional claim.

Can the film show where our ingredients come from?

Only with documentation or photos from your suppliers. We do not generate farms, foragers or landscapes that suggest an origin your product cannot prove.

Can one film run in Canada and the United States?

Usually not unchanged. We share the visuals between the two, but the wording, label and end card follow each market's own approved text.
