AI video production in Toronto: silent skincare films for the winter commute
In a Toronto February, the cold outside and the dry heat inside offices make it the season for hand creams, balms and barrier creams. On the way to work, commuters pass digital screens on subway platforms and along the PATH. Notlith makes short advertising films for skincare brands remotely, built with AI from your real packshots and texture photos, and designed to be understood without sound.
Remote production · From your photos

A few seconds between the platform and the concourse
A screen in a subway station or an underground walkway is seen in passing, often at an angle and always without sound. So the film is written as a sequence of very few images: the cold, the hands, the product, the name. Each image must read on its own, because a commuter may catch only the middle of the loop before the train arrives.
We storyboard the loop before generating anything, and we test each frame at the size of a phone held at arm's length, which is a fair approximation of a screen seen across a concourse. If a frame needs a caption to make sense, the frame is wrong and we redraw it rather than adding more words.

A tube that reads from across the walkway
The product is the hero, so it is never generated from scratch. We composite your tube, jar or pump bottle from your packshots, keeping the logo, the colours and the product name exactly as printed. The background, the frost on a window and the soft winter light around it are generated, with a grade kept close to your brand palette.
Texture is where skincare films usually cheat. A swirl of cream on screen comes from your own swatch photos, animated gently, never thickened or made glossier than the real formula. We show no generated skin transformation, no before and after, and no anonymous face standing in for a customer who never tried the product.

One claim, and only the one you can support
A silent loop has room for one promise at most, and it should be the one your files already support. In Canada, some skin claims can move a product from cosmetic into another regulatory category, so we use the wording already on your pack or approved by your adviser, and nothing stronger.
In practice that means one short line, often the name of the benefit printed on the tube, set in large type and held long enough to read. Ingredient names appear only as they are listed on your packaging. If you want a seasonal message, such as a February cold snap or the spring thaw, it goes into the imagery rather than into a new claim.

Station screens, phones on Line 1, and a French cut
Your media buyer or the screen owner sets the specifications: resolution, loop length, file format and safe areas. We deliver to those files exactly, then cut the same master for phones, with sound and a slightly slower rhythm, as 9:16 and 1:1 for the people scrolling on the ride home. A Canadian French version follows if the campaign runs beyond Ontario.
If your story depends on a dermatologist explaining a formula, or a real customer describing her skin, film them for real; generated people should never carry that kind of testimony. Those moments can sit inside a hybrid film beside the generated winter scenes and your product shots.

Plan the details
Do you book the screens in the subway or the PATH?
No. Media is booked through your agency or directly with the screen owner. We work from the specifications they provide and deliver files that match them.
Can the film show hands applying the cream?
Yes, as anonymous generated hands, with the texture taken from your swatch photos. We do not show results on skin that your testing does not document.
Will the station loop also work on Instagram?
Not unchanged. The silent loop is built for passing glances, so we recut the same material with sound, a different rhythm and vertical framing for social feeds.
Can we change the message when the season turns?
Yes. Because the scenes are generated around your real packshot, we can produce a spring variant with lighter colours and the same product, without starting the film again.
