Corporate film in Halifax for ocean tech, recruitment and investors
Many Halifax organizations do work that is hard to film: sensors on the seabed, research in a lab, components for ships, software for ports. Others need to persuade people to move east for a job. Notlith makes corporate films from your photographs, diagrams and approved messages, with creative direction, AI-assisted motion, editing and sound, so complex work becomes clear without sending a crew offshore.
Remote production · From your photos

Showing the ocean without a sea trial
Ocean technology companies, including those around COVE on the Dartmouth waterfront, often explain equipment that works where no camera goes. Animated sequences built from your CAD renders, product photos and data visualizations can show how a sensor deploys or how readings travel to shore.
Those sequences are illustrations and are labelled as such. Depths, ranges, accuracy figures and certifications appear only in the exact wording your engineering team approves. We never present a generated underwater scene as a recording of your equipment in use.

Asking people to move to Nova Scotia
Recruitment films for Halifax employers often have two jobs: describe the role and sell the place. Candidates from Ontario, abroad or other Atlantic provinces want to see the workplace, meet the team and understand life on the harbour. Real team members, filmed or photographed by you, carry that message better than anything generated.
We combine your photos and short phone clips with titles, maps and a clear structure. Generated imagery may support transitions or abstract themes, but no invented employee speaks for your company, and statements about salaries, benefits or immigration support come from your HR team.

Suppliers to shipbuilding and defence
The shipyard on the Halifax waterfront and the naval presence in the harbour support a network of suppliers, engineering firms and training providers. Their films face a particular constraint: much of what they make cannot be shown in detail, and some customers forbid any mention.
We start with what you are cleared to say. Diagrams, generic components and facility photos can communicate capability without revealing controlled information. Contract names, vessel classes and partner logos appear only with written permission, and you review every frame before release.
Boards, funders and annual meetings
Universities, research institutes, health organizations and non-profits in the city regularly report to boards, government funders and donors. A short film can open an annual meeting or accompany a grant application, summarizing the year with your figures and your images.
We take every number from your approved report and display it exactly. Patient, student or beneficiary images require consent you have already obtained. A bilingual version can help when a funder or audience expects English and French. For a gala or a donor evening, we can also prepare a muted loop for the screens in the room and a shorter cut for the newsletter that follows.

Plan the details
Our work is confidential. Can you still help?
Yes. We can sign your NDA and work only from material you clear. The film is designed around what can be shared publicly.
Can a company leader appear in the film?
Yes, from footage or photos of that person you provide with consent. We do not create a synthetic version of a real executive.
Can you animate our technical diagrams?
Yes. Send the source files or high-resolution images and the explanation in plain language. Engineering review is part of the approval.
Which time zone do you work to?
Halifax runs on Atlantic Time, an hour ahead of Toronto. We schedule calls and review deadlines in your local time.
Start with your images
Describe the audience and the one message the film must land, and send the images you are cleared to share; we outline a structure.
