AI video production in San Francisco: launch films from your real product
Notlith produces advertising films for San Francisco companies from their actual product: app screens, device shots, packaging, brand systems. We handle concept, script, look, AI-assisted image and motion, edit, grade and sound remotely. There is no shoot in SoMa and no crew to coordinate. You get a launch-ready commercial and the cutdowns your growth team will actually run.

Launch films for products that live on a screen
Many San Francisco advertisers sell software: an AI assistant, a payments tool, a developer platform. The hard part is making an interface feel human without faking it. We write one idea, often a moment of relief or speed a user will recognize, then script the screens and transitions that prove it, and agree the script before anything moves.
We animate from your shipping UI, not from mockups that promise more than the product does. Devices are placed in believable settings, an apartment in the Mission or a café with fog rolling past the window, so the story feels lived in while the screen content stays exactly what users will see. Copy on screen matches your live build.
Our list of refusals
In a city full of AI companies, viewers are quick to spot sloppy generation, so we are strict. No synthetic users praising the product, no invented customer logos, no benchmarks or features that do not ship, and no keynote audiences that were never in the room. Viewers in the Bay Area work in this field, and they notice extra fingers, melting text and physics that does not hold up.
Physical products follow the same rule: a jacket, a bottle or a device is matched to your photos in each shot, down to the finish and the port layout. If the launch truly needs your founder on stage or customers speaking for themselves, we will tell you a filmed shoot is the better tool. Honest work wins trust here.

Formats for launch week
We deliver a 16:9 master for the launch page, YouTube and events, then a recomposed 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts and a 1:1 for LinkedIn and feeds. Each version keeps the interface or product legible on a small screen, with captions designed for silent autoplay. A short teaser can go out the week before launch.
For companies selling abroad, language versions can follow, with translated UI strings, supers and voice reviewed by native speakers. Chinese and Spanish are natural options for Bay Area audiences, and a global launch may need several more, each checked against the localized build of the product. Localized screens are captured from your real build, never painted in afterwards.

Assets to gather before we start
Bring screen recordings of the current build, your design system or brand guidelines, logo files and fonts, product photos if hardware is involved, and links to launch films you rate. Tell us the one action a viewer should take afterwards. For consumer goods, a Dogpatch coffee roaster for instance, clean daylight photos of the packaging are enough.
Review comes in three rounds: concept and script, rough cut with temporary audio, final grade and mix. We disclose the use of AI on the film, which a Bay Area audience will expect, and usage rights are laid out in the quote before the first line is written. Product, legal and marketing can comment in the same link.

Plan the details
Can you time a film for Dreamforce or our own launch event?
Yes, with enough lead time for three review rounds. We would make a film about your product, without implying any affiliation with the event or its organizer.
Can you show our AI product doing something it cannot do yet?
No. We show what ships. Roadmap features can be described as upcoming in the copy if your team approves, but never shown working on screen.
Do you have a San Francisco office?
No. We are a remote studio with no Bay Area presence, which keeps the process lean: shared links, written notes, calls in Pacific Time. Async review suits busy teams.
Will the result look generated?
It should look directed. Every shot is graded, edited and sound-designed, and anything with artifacts or impossible physics is replaced before review. Restraint matters more than spectacle.
