AI video production in Manchester: your first television advert

Television no longer means a national campaign. Regional slots on ITV in the North West, addressable services such as Sky AdSmart and the advertising on streaming platforms let a Manchester business put a commercial on the living-room screen for a defined area. Notlith produces that advert remotely with AI, from the photographs of your product or premises, and prepares it for the clearance and technical checks broadcast demands.

Why a Greater Manchester brand would go on air

The businesses that test television tend to sell something people buy after some thought: a sofa from a showroom in Trafford, a kitchen fitter covering Stockport and Bolton, a family-run brewery stocked across the region. Their audience sits at home in the evening, and a short commercial on the large screen gives them a name to search for later.

A first advert has to work within that context. It plays between programmes, with sound on, beside adverts from brands with far larger budgets. We write it to be understood in one viewing: who you are, what you sell and where to find you, said once and clearly, with the product held on screen long enough to be remembered.

Writing a script that clearance will accept

UK television adverts follow the BCAP Code and are normally cleared by Clearcast before a broadcaster will air them. That review looks at claims, prices, comparisons and how a product is shown. So we draft the script with your evidence in hand: if the film says a mattress is made in Lancashire or a beer is brewed in Ancoats, you should be able to prove it.

Generated imagery adds a specific question: does the picture exaggerate what the customer receives? We rebuild your product from your own photographs and keep its size, finish and features as they are. A sofa does not grow a recliner it lacks, and a showroom does not gain floor space. Clearcast may still ask questions, and we answer them with you.

What a fifty-inch screen reveals

A phone forgives a soft edge; a television in a quiet room does not. Fabric weave, the line where a worktop meets a wall, the label on a bottle: each is checked at full resolution before the grade, and any shot that breaks down at that scale is regenerated or replaced by a still from your own photo library, animated with a camera move.

Sound matters more than it does on the feed. We mix the voice-over and music to the loudness standard set out in the broadcaster's delivery specification, and we keep the end frame on screen long enough to read your web address. If the idea depends on a presenter or real staff speaking, we will recommend filming them instead.

From the broadcast master to ITVX and the feed

The approved advert is delivered as a broadcast master to the format your media buyer or the platform requests, usually through an ad delivery service they name. Streaming placements often ask for subtitles and slightly different file settings, so we prepare that version alongside rather than as an afterthought.

The same production then gives you material for the rest of the campaign: a vertical cut for social, a short version for YouTube and a still for your website, all consistent with what viewers saw on television. Usage rights for each format and channel are set out in the quote.

Plan the details

Do you book the airtime?

No. We produce the advert. Airtime is bought through a media agency, the broadcaster's own sales team or a self-serve platform. We work to the specification they give you.

Will Clearcast accept an advert made with AI?

The method is not the issue; what the advert shows and claims is. We keep the product faithful and the claims supportable, and we help you answer any questions raised during clearance.

Can the advert show Manchester?

We avoid generating recognisable buildings or streets as if you filmed there. If the city matters to the story, we use photographs or licensed footage you hold the rights to.

Can we change the offer later without a new advert?

Yes. Price, offer or end card can be updated in the project. A changed advert may need to go back through clearance before it airs again.
