AI video production in Abu Dhabi: launch films for island living

Off-plan launches on Saadiyat, Yas and Al Reem usually begin with renders, a sales gallery and a date the whole team is working towards. Notlith turns that material into an advertising film without sending a crew: creative direction, script, AI-assisted motion, edit, grade and sound. The outcome is a hybrid film that sells the idea of a home while staying faithful to what the developer will actually hand over.

One idea per launch, not a brochure in motion

A developer's pack holds floor plans, amenity lists, payment-plan graphics and a masterplan; a campaign film cannot carry all of it. We ask which single feeling should stay with a buyer after the last frame: morning light on a mangrove-facing terrace, a short drive to the cultural district, a shaded courtyard where children play. The script then serves that one idea, and the brochure keeps doing its own job.

We write a shot-by-shot script with an English voice-over and a separate Arabic version written for the ear rather than translated line by line. A look, a colour palette and a music direction are proposed before any motion is generated, so the sales team approves the tone on paper first. Changing a sentence in a script is far easier than changing a sequence after the grade.

Where we refuse to let the model improvise

Buyers in the capital know their coastline. If a tower faces the channel, the film shows the channel, not an invented beach. We do not slip the Louvre dome, the Grand Mosque or a marina view into a frame the plot will never see. Amenities appear only if they exist in the approved plans, and interior finishes follow the developer's specification sheet.

Generated people stay in the background: a figure crossing a lobby, a hand on a balustrade. Nobody is presented as a resident describing life there, because that would be a fabricated testimonial. Each frame is compared with the renders for façade lines, balcony counts and window rhythm, and anything that drifts is regenerated or replaced with a controlled composite.

Ramadan evenings and the sales calendar

Property marketing here follows the year. Ramadan creatives ask for restraint: softer evening light, a family table at iftar, copy about home and gathering rather than returns. Eid versions can be warmer and brighter. Exhibition stands and launch events later in the year favour clear information on screen. We plan these variants from one master so the visual language holds steady across the year.

The master is cut into 16:9 for the sales gallery screen and YouTube, 9:16 for Instagram and Snapchat stories, and 1:1 for paid placements. Arabic supers are set right to left with proper typography instead of mirrored English layouts. If the broker network needs a version without pricing language, we prepare it as its own edit rather than a quick overlay.

When a camera on site is the better call

Once a building is handed over, real footage of the actual lobby and the actual view persuades more than anything generated. For completed communities in Khalifa City or along the Corniche, we will say plainly that a photographer and a licensed drone operator may serve the brief better, and we can still edit, grade and score what they capture.

For off-plan phases the hybrid approach fits because there is nothing to film yet. Every generated sequence is disclosed in line with platform rules and the wording your legal team prefers. Rights and usage of the delivered film, including broker distribution and paid media, are set out in the quote before work begins, so nothing is left open to interpretation.

Plan the details

Can you work only from CGI renders and a masterplan?

Yes. Renders, the masterplan, material boards and any drone stills of the surroundings are enough. The more angles we receive of the façade and key amenities, the less the model has to interpret, which keeps the film closer to the finished building.

Is the Arabic version a translation of the English one?

No. We write the Arabic voice-over and on-screen text as a native version, adapting rhythm and wording for a Gulf audience. Both languages share the same visual master, so the two films stay aligned without sounding translated.

How do developer and agency approvals work?

We hold review rounds at script, look and final edit. Comments go into one shared document with timecodes, so the developer, agency and legal reviewer see the same version.

Will viewers know the film uses AI imagery?

Yes. We recommend a short on-screen disclosure and follow each platform's labelling rules. Openness protects the developer when buyers later walk into the finished community.
