Product Film in Charleston: from the shop shelf to the reorder
Plenty of Charleston products are first discovered in person, on a King Street shelf or a market table, and bought again online weeks later from another state. A product film has to work at both moments. Notlith makes them remotely from your packshots and references, with creative direction, AI-assisted motion, editing and sound, keeping labels, colors and proportions faithful to what ships.

Pantry goods: what the label is allowed to say
Hot sauces, spice blends, stone-ground grits, benne wafers, heirloom grains such as Carolina Gold rice, tea grown on Wadmalaw Island: the Lowcountry pantry is a familiar gift category. Food brands live under labeling rules, so the film must not imply health benefits or origins the package does not state.
We work from the final label artwork and photos of the real jar or bag. Steam, pour and texture shots are designed from references you approve, and serving suggestions are framed as suggestions. If a product is made outside South Carolina, the film does not suggest otherwise.

Apparel built for heat and humidity
Linen shirts, seersucker, sun hats and performance fishing wear sell on comfort in a climate where summer is long. The film should show what the fabric does: drape, weave and weight at close range, with colors matched to your swatches rather than to a sunset.
Send flat lays, on-body photos and macro shots of the fabric. We build motion that respects seams, pocket placement and logo size. We do not create models wearing your clothes from nowhere; if you need people, use photos of real models you have rights to, and we work from those.

Candles, ceramics and design objects
Fragrance and home goods sold in Charleston boutiques often borrow names from local places: a scent called after a street or a beach. That is your branding, but the film should not imply an official link to a landmark or institution. A tight focus on the vessel, wick and label keeps attention where it belongs.
For ceramics and furniture, proportions are everything. We check silhouettes against your dimension sheets and keep glaze colors consistent with your photos. Animated lighting can suggest a room at dusk without inventing a finish you do not offer.

Craft traditions we will not imitate
Sweetgrass baskets, sold at the Charleston City Market and along Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant, carry Gullah Geechee heritage. If you are a maker or an authorized seller, a film can present your real work from your own photos, credited as you wish.
What we will not do is generate baskets in that style for an unrelated brand, or use the tradition as background decoration. The same rule applies to any recognizable regional craft. A product film borrows trust; it should not borrow someone else’s culture.

Plan the details
Can the film show our product in a Charleston setting?
We can create neutral, evocative backgrounds, or use location photos you have rights to. We avoid recognizable landmarks that could suggest an endorsement, such as a famous facade on East Bay Street.
Do you need physical samples?
No. We need sharp photos from several angles, label files and color references. If your photos are weak, we send a shot list for you or a local photographer.
Can you make versions for Amazon or Shopify?
Yes. We deliver a master and cutdowns in the formats you need, including square and vertical, and we keep product-page text out of the video if the platform forbids it.
Can the same film announce a holiday gift box?
Yes, with an editable end card for seasonal bundles and dates. The box itself must exist and be photographed before it appears on screen.
