The project in detail
A Strasbourg concept: A fictional Alsatian bakery.
Your film
A business serving French and German audiences needs more than a copied voice track. We design the visual story from the real product or venue, then scope each language version so the message makes sense for its audience.
Local context and uses
The European institutions, cross-border services and Alsatian food and wine businesses create different needs. A bakery might lead with its craft and product; a software team might need a clear explanation for buyers on either side of the Rhine.
The municipality had 293,771 residents in the 2023 Insee reference population. This is population context, not a count of potential clients.
Products. Preserve the photographed pastry, bottle or package.
Venues. Use authorised images of the actual hotel, winstub or restaurant.
Services and apps. Show real screens and agree which words, voice and rights each market requires.
Story ideas
- A bakery follows its real bredele from a worktop photograph to a winter-window scene.
- A booking platform uses genuine screens in French and German versions, with each voice planned in the quote.
The method
We serve clients in Strasbourg entirely remotely. Send at least 10 real photographs and, if useful, an optional PDF. If you have fewer images, request a tailored quote. We agree the scenario before producing the shots. Our hybrid production shapes those shots from your images; we then handle editing and colour grading.
The films shown here use a 16:9 landscape frame. Delivery format is selected in the quote. No filming or on-site visit is included.
What the service does not cover
Notlith makes films exclusively from photographs, screenshots and documents supplied by the client. We do not film interviews, events or work processes on location.
Prepare the message before the seasonal deadline
A shop, restaurant or hotel may need to reach French- and German-speaking visitors before they arrive. Choose the featured spaces and products early, together with the information that must remain visible. A winter atmosphere can be an artistic direction; it cannot establish an event date or opening time.
Consult the official Strasbourg Christmas website for the programme. Check the dates for the edition relevant to your campaign before including them in the film. Notlith creates scenes from your photographs without recording the event.
Language changes the edit
French and German can require different time to express the same idea. Reserve enough space in the script when a voice is planned. Product names, booking details and factual descriptions need a separate check even when the overall film feels fluent.
A requested German human voice is confirmed with its availability and rights. Subtitles or embedded wording also belong in the agreed scope; the language of our demonstrations does not promise them automatically.
Distinct material for retail and hospitality
A designer's shop can focus on a garment's texture and packaging. A restaurant can connect its dining room and a dish. An hotel can suggest a weekend through its actual spaces without generalising an amenity available to only some rooms. The Jacket and Restaurant films are fictional concepts for assessing style. Product and venue offers provide suitable starting points, with the final versions and schedule recorded in your quote.
Local questions
Should German be planned before editing?
Ideally yes: sentences may need more time and a different rhythm. Planning avoids forcing the voice into a fixed edit.
Do you publish the Christmas market dates?
We refer readers to the official programme. A campaign should use a date checked at approval time, not an old announcement.
Is a German human voice guaranteed?
Performer selection, availability and usage rights are confirmed in the quote before committing to that option.
Are subtitles automatically provided?
State the requirement in the brief. Their wording and integration must be part of the agreed scope.
Do you film the restaurant during service?
No. Dining-room and food photographs become references for the film, without on-site recording.
