The project in detail

A Paris concept: A fictional contemporary hotel in Paris.

Your film

A Paris launch may need several versions before the next collection or campaign arrives. We use the photographs a brand already controls to build a new advertising narrative, with a written scenario and a finished landscape film. We serve Paris teams remotely, from the brief through to delivery.

Local context and uses

Beauty houses, fashion labels and concept stores around the Marais may need product films; hotels and galleries need atmosphere; software teams in the Sentier need a clear demonstration. These are different briefs, so the story starts with the actual item, space or screen that must remain recognisable.

The municipality had 2,103,778 residents in the 2023 Insee reference population. This is population context, not a count of potential clients.

Products. A real bottle or bag can move between carefully art-directed scenes without altering its proportions, markings or colour.

Places. A hotel can link photographs of a room, corridor and bar in an arrival sequence.

Services and apps. A property or digital service needs a precise promise, supported by images the client is entitled to use.

Story ideas
  • A photographed fragrance bottle moves from a mineral studio setting to a night scene above the city; the bottle stays exact.
  • An independent Marais hotel follows a guest’s imagined arrival using its real room and bar photographs.
A scenario

An imagined concept, not client work: a Paris fragrance house provides at least ten authorised photographs of its bottle and confirms their usage rights. The film preserves its shape, label and colour. Around it, mineral light gives way to a stylised night scene; editing and sound set the pace without claiming a real address or an existing campaign.

The method

We serve clients in Paris entirely remotely. Send at least 10 real photographs and, if useful, an optional PDF. If you have fewer images, request a tailored quote. We agree the scenario before producing the shots. Our hybrid production shapes those shots from your images; we then handle editing and colour grading.

The films shown here use a 16:9 landscape frame. Delivery format is selected in the quote. No filming or on-site visit is included.

What the service does not cover

Notlith makes films exclusively from photographs, screenshots and documents supplied by the client. We do not film interviews, events or work processes on location.

Choosing a film without booking a Paris shoot

A brand launch and a recorded event need different evidence. If your film must show an executive answering questions, a craftsperson performing a precise action or a real audience, a camera crew is the appropriate choice. A product campaign can have a different purpose: to build an atmosphere around an object whose appearance is already documented. That is where Notlith's photo-based approach fits.

The City of Paris publishes filming procedures. Requirements vary with the location and production, and the city describes specific arrangements for advertising. We do not turn these rules into a claim that filming in Paris is impossible. Refer to Paris Film for a proposed shoot. This municipal reference was included in our editorial brief on 29 September 2026.

Notlith does not film on location. Your authorised photographs establish what the product or venue actually looks like, while the script determines what the audience should understand. No street is occupied for our production. Supply complementary angles and tell us which details cannot change. The schedule is agreed once the material and approval process are understood.

Different material for fashion, hospitality and software

A fashion piece needs clear views of its cut and fastenings; a perfume needs a legible label, reliable colour and its full silhouette. Those references support a product film that adds atmosphere without redesigning the object. A close-up is useful only if the important details remain faithful.

An hotel or restaurant needs a believable sequence of spaces. Photographs from different days can be edited into an arrival, a meal or a quieter evening, but an extra room or a sea view cannot be invented. The venue film presents real assets through a planned visual journey. It is not documentary footage of a guest's experience.

A service business may need the audience to understand a proposition rather than admire an interior. We work from verifiable information and suitable imagery. Simulated scenes cannot stand in for customer testimony or evidence of performance. For an application, choose one meaningful task and provide demonstration screens without customer information. The website and app offer can put those screens in context without pretending to reproduce a complete product tutorial.

Editing a message, not just animating photographs

The opening image establishes the subject. The following shots should develop the same idea, while sound controls pace and emphasis. A brand film may connect a place, a material and an attitude; an advert usually asks for a more specific response. Neither needs invented employees. If staff identity is essential, use a filmed production instead.

Voice-over belongs in the writing process. English and French versions may require different sentence lengths and timings. A human performer, the intended media and the licensed usage period must be included in the quote. We do not offer a Paris recording facility. Likewise, a visually persuasive object film is not engineering animation: internal mechanisms and dimensional demonstrations require specialist work.

Our fragrance and armchair films are fictional demonstrations. They show choices of light, sound and composition, not completed campaigns for Paris clients. Pick the elements that suit your brief and identify one person to consolidate feedback. Distinguish factual corrections from a preference for a different pace. Consult the offers for current prices; your quote confirms the versions, revisions and final project price.

Working across Île-de-France

A business in Montreuil or Boulogne-Billancourt supplies the same essentials as one in central Paris: authorised photographs, a clear audience and an intended use. There is no local visit hidden in the process. A shared reference set helps a dispersed marketing team approve the same product details and scene order.

For other regional uses, explore Lille or Senlis and southern Oise. The examples differ because the commercial setting differs; the method still starts with your files.

Local questions

Do I need to book a Paris set?

Our method starts with authorised photographs. An interview or real-event recording needs a provider who films on location.

How do you keep a collection recognisable?

Provide complementary angles, construction details and colour references. Those features remain the review criteria even when the lighting or setting changes.

Must a corporate film feature the founder?

A story can connect places, products and an offer. If the founder's testimony is the intended evidence, record the person rather than reconstructing it.

Can you work with a team in Montreuil or Boulogne-Billancourt?

Yes, through the same remote brief. An Île-de-France location does not add a local office, visit or shoot to the service.

How should I compare a Paris campaign budget?

Compare the subject, durations, versions and usage rights. The cards use our current grid, while your quote confirms the campaign scope.

Do you provide industrial 3D animation?

No. Staging a photographed product does not replace modelling intended to demonstrate a mechanism or exact dimensions.
