The project in detail
A Montpellier concept: A fictional health scheduling app.
Your film
A young company often needs to explain one useful action rather than present every feature. We shape a short landscape film around its real screens, product photographs or venue images, with the scenario agreed before production.
Local context and uses
Montpellier’s health and university environment brings software and service briefs; restaurants in the Écusson and producers toward Pic Saint-Loup call for more tactile images. The film should show the specific offer, not borrow credibility from the city.
The municipality had 310,240 residents in the 2023 Insee reference population. This is population context, not a count of potential clients.
Apps. Use genuine booking or account screens and show the task the user can actually complete.
Products. Preserve the final bottle, label and finish in any new setting.
Venues and services. Build a story from photographs of the real place or customer experience.
Story ideas
- A scheduling app moves from a true booking screen to an imagined morning appointment, without implying an unbuilt feature.
- A Pic Saint-Loup bottle is photographed in its final form, then placed in a garrigue-to-terrace sequence.
- A beach restaurant uses its own photographs to travel from first coffee to evening tables.
The method
We serve clients in Montpellier entirely remotely. Send at least 10 real photographs and, if useful, an optional PDF. If you have fewer images, request a tailored quote. We agree the scenario before producing the shots. Our hybrid production shapes those shots from your images; we then handle editing and colour grading.
The films shown here use a 16:9 landscape frame. Delivery format is selected in the quote. No filming or on-site visit is included.
What the service does not cover
Notlith makes films exclusively from photographs, screenshots and documents supplied by the client. We do not film interviews, events or work processes on location.
Give the advert one job
A small business may have more to explain than a short film can comfortably carry. Begin with the intended response: discover an object, reserve a table or try an application. Those are different stories. The script should not attempt to compress every website section into a single sequence.
A brief version can establish the subject, reveal a reason to care and end with the signature. A longer version may add context or a second view. Available durations and versions follow the chosen offer; duration alone does not guarantee an audience response.
Outdoor products, terraces and property
An outdoor product can work with clear references and strong light. Our Bottle demonstration uses a recognisable object to organise the frame; its setting is an invented concept, not an Hérault shoot. A restaurant needs genuine room and food images instead. A property sequence requires documented volumes and views, with no invented surroundings implied by a simulated camera movement.
Decide where the film will be used
Notlith films are shown and delivered in landscape 16:9. A social campaign must specify its intended placement without assuming a vertical version. Any launch support belongs in the quote, as do relevant voice and usage rights. Television use needs its own scope review rather than being treated as ordinary web distribution.
Explore the product, venue or app approach according to the source material. Provide clear photographs and accurate campaign information. If the story depends on live acting or documenting an event, a filmed production is the appropriate choice.
A documented local reference
The Montpellier filming support office supports productions visiting the city. It provides local context; Notlith does not claim that service or film on location. Reference checked on 30 September 2026.
Local questions
What should a first advert focus on?
Choose the principal response: discover a product, book or understand a use. One priority helps create a readable short sequence.
Is the Bottle film a Montpellier campaign?
No. It is a Notlith concept demonstrating light and movement, not evidence of a local commission.
Are vertical versions included?
No. Notlith films are presented and delivered in landscape 16:9. Plan distribution around that format.
Can the same film automatically run on television?
Television distribution requires a rights and scope review. It is not automatically covered by agreed web use.
Can phone photographs work?
They can be assessed if clear, authorised and informative. Useful angles matter as much as the number of images.
